Dancing with the Stars: Bachelor Celeb Melissa Turns Rah Rah Rah into Cha Cha Cha

The Bachelor's Heartbroken Melissa Rycroft Faces Another Jackass on Dancing with the Stars

Aly Adair
The Bachelor fans, or former The Bachelor fans, watch and wait to see how Melissa Rycroft is coping with the heartbreak of being dumped on national television by The Bachelor Jason Mesnick. Despite all the media coverage about Melissa handling Jason's breakup with grace and moving on with her life, what The Bachelor fans witnessed during the After the Final Rose episode was more than most people could fathom. It is one thing to have a change of heart like many of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette contestants have done in the past, but to break up with Melissa minutes after the show ended was really heartless not heart change.

Now, Melissa Rycroft has really decided to move on with her life, and her career. Melissa, a former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader, will take injured Nancy O'Dell's place on Dancing With the Stars premiering on Monday, March 9th on ABC (8/7 C). The results show for Dancing With the Stars will be on Tuesdays on ABC (9/8 C). Hopefully, the results for Melissa on Dancing With the Stars will turn out better than it did on The Bachelor.

Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell and country singer/songwriter Jewell both backed out of Dancing With the Stars 2009 after suffering injuries. Holly Madison from The Girl Next Door will replace Jewell. Other Dancing With the Stars 2009 contestants are Belinda Carlisle, David Alan Grier, Shawn Johnson, Lil' Kim, Gilles Marini, Ty Murray, Steve-O, Denise Richards, Lawrence Taylor, Chuck Wicks, and Steve Wozniak.

Melissa is bound to have better success with Latin hottie "Dancing" professional Tony Dovolani, whose heart was bigger than gold when star partner Sara Evans had to leave the show suddenly when she had marital problems. Melissa will make a great Dancing With the Stars partner since she has danced much of her life and became a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. Dancing With the Stars fans will have to wait and see if the rah rah rah cheerleading dance skills Melissa has will transfer to Cha Cha Cha dance skills. The other Jackass in Melissa's Dancing With the Stars life, Steve-O, scored a 17 on his first night of Dancing With the Stars. Melissa should be able to beat that like she beat Jason Mesnick! Tony and Melissa danced the Waltz after only two days of practice. It was beautiful and they scored a 23!

One of the best dances of the night was Chuck Wicks dancing the Waltz with real-life girlfriend and professional dance partner Julianne Huff. Chuck and Julianne scored a 20 on their first dance. Chuck Wicks is an up and coming country western singer/songwriter superstar. Ty Murray, Jewel's husband, needs a little more practice before he will become a serious Dancing With the Stars contender. Gymnast Shawn Johnson and her partner scored a respectable 23. Wow, Steve Wozniak - GO GEEK! Steve actually had a blast and with a little more practice, he might turn into a good dancer.

Best wishes for Jewel's recovery from her dance injury. Best wishes to Nancy O'Dell as she faces a surgery and 6-8 weeks of rehab after her dance injury. Good luck, Melissa and Tony. We'll be watching AND voting!

Interesting. I have never watched "Bachelor" but on some channel on TV last night I heard something about his breaking up with her and breaking her heart. What a heel he must be.
