After the shocking news that Audrina Patridge was eliminated in Week 6 of DWTS on Tuesday night, many are left wondering why someone with so much talent and ability left the show. That is, why would personality and likeability preclude talent in a competition of all things?
Regardless of whether or not it was fair to let her go, Patridge is gone and that forces us to look at the remaining contestants. While it's obvious that Jennifer Grey and Brandy appear to be natural dancers with amazing talent, the other four (Rick Fox, Kyle Massey, Bristol Palin and Kurt Palin) seem to be getting by for other reasons.
It's pure conjecture to say that Rick Fox is still on DWTS because of his being tied to professional, two-time champion Cheryl Burke. However, with some smattering of talent and definite improvement since the beginning of the show, Fox is hanging in there.
On the other hand, Kyle Massey seems to have more talent than Rick Fox, but it's his bubbly, sweet, and oh-so-positive attitude that makes the viewers love him. He's young, innocent, funny, and he works incredibly hard on the show. His efforts have paid off but his gregarious personality makes people just love him (and vote for him).
And Kurt Warner more than likely won many fans over when he announced during Week 4's competition that dancing "intimately" with someone other than his wife (meaning Anna Trebunskaya) made him a little uncomfortable.
"Being a Christian guy, it's definitely a challenge for me to dance intimately with someone who's not my wife," Warner explained. But wife Brenda assured Kurt that it was okay for him to dance the dance of love in a role-playing mode.
What other star in the past 11 seasons of DWTS has so openly admitted and proved his love of Christ and his spouse?
Finally, there's Bristol Palin. Putting aside all political differences, we've seen a young lady emerge from her teens to her 20th year and witnessed how she has matured both on and off the dance floor.
However, what's so refreshing about Palin is the fact that she is resilient. Not only has she fought criticism for her last name, becoming an unwed teen mother, being associated with Levi Johnston (enough said), Bristol has resisted giving up and shows the fighting spirit that all Americans love.
It's Palin, Massey and Warner of all the Dancing With The Stars cast members who are perhaps the most down-to-earth, lovable, and wanna-cheer-them-to-the-victory contestants in a long time.

Post a CommentKurt and Bristol are both very likeable.
I love Bristol Palin because she seems to take everything as it comes without getting too stressed out. She stays calm and keeps a smile on her face. She handles herself amazingly well in light of all the dirt thrown her way. I would love it if she ended up winning this season of DWTS,
