Dancing with the Stars New Cast

I must admit when the premise of Dancing with the Stars was first presented to viewers I was not at all interested. However, like so many other shows I ended up watching it anyway for one reason or another. Well, I have been a faithful viewer ever since and I am now, along with millions of other people eagerly awaiting it's premiere. In case you haven't already gotten wind of this years DWTS cast it consists of Jane Seymour, Jennie Garth, Wayne Newton, Floyd MayWeather Jr., Marie Osmond, Mel B., Helio Castroneves, Albert Reed, Mark Cuban, Sabrina Bryan, Cameron Mathison and Josie Maran. With such a varied cast many viewers have been scratching their heads wondering just who exactly some of these stars are. A brief description of each cast member.

Jane Seymour A.K.A Medicine Woman is a probably one of the more recognizable cast members. At 56 Jane looks better than many of us do in our twenties and will surely be a fan favorite. Jane has appeared in Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, and numerous other television series. She also has a long history of appearing in films.

Jennie Garth best known as Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills 90210 is sure to be a favorite for anyone who grew in the 90's. She has also stared in the television series What I Like About You and many other television series and movies.

Wayne Newton, need I say more. I think pretty much everyone knows who Wayne Newton is. Known as Mr. Entertainment and Mr. Las Vegas Wayne is a performer that will surely add some flare to the already flashy Dancing with the Stars. Think of the song Danke Schoen and you will ultimately think of Wayne Newton.

Floyd MayWeather Jr. is among the whose who in Boxing. He is the second person in the history of the sport to hold titles at five different weights. He has been a commentator for boxing at times and has actually appeared in a few television shows playing himself.

Marie Osmond, actress, singer, entrepreneur is another of the more recognizable cast members in this years DWTS line up. Starting out as a child on the Osmond family show, Marie Osmond is one of the few child stars that actually parlayed her childhood career into life long success.

Mel B. is better known to most people as Scary Spice of the international girl group The Spice Girls. Mel B. is an actress as well as a singer and should be perfectly suited for Dancing with the Stars considering her background.

Helio Castroneves is an Indy race car driver. Helio is well known in the racing world for having won the Indy 500 twice. He is the first race car driver to hit the dance floor so that should be interesting.

Albert Reed is probably the least famous of all the cast members this year, Albert is a Abercrombie & Fitch model who at 22 is also one of the younger contestants this year. Albert is a looker so he will definitely have a large female following.

Mark Cuban is the owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team. Mark cuban is a producer, actor and self made millionaire. He is probably the first true businessman to appear on the show.

Sabrina Bryan is destined to be a tween favorite. Sabrina stars on the Disney Channels series Cheetah Girls. At 22 Sabrina ties with Albert Reed for youngest cast member.

Cameron Mathison A.K. A Ryan on ABC's All My Children is sure to be a fan favorite. Cameron is a highly popular soap actor and has hosted several soap related shows for Soap Net. Cameron is cute and charismatic so he will surely be popular.

Josie Maran is another that may have some fans scratching their heads. Josie is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model, an actress and has her own cosmetics line. Josie has also appeared in a video game as herself and stared in a video for the Backstreet Boys.

With a cast this varied there is someone for everyone to root for.
