'Dancing with the Stars' Cast Revealed for Season 12 Featuring Sugar Ray Leonard and the Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio

Other DWTS Castmates Include a Pro Wrestler, Talk Show Host, Disney Star and Tsunami Survivor

TMZ revealed a spoiler on the web of a number of celebrities who are appearing on the upcoming "Dancing with the Stars." This was announced by the gossip site the morning of February 28. Hours later on ABC's "The Bachelor" the rest of the cast was introduced during two pre-commercial breaks from the reality TV show.

During the first new cast reveal segment half of the 11-member cast was brought out onstage to the ABC media and audience members. Before the end of "The Bachelor" the rest of the cast came out and later answered questions. One of the castmates wasn't in attendance, because she was speaking at the United Nations. Here is the list of the celebrities grouped in their respective categories and a little bit about them.

Athletes

Sugar Ray Leonard, 54 - He is a former World Champion, recently made a cameo appearance as himself in the film "The Fighter" and a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame. During the recent Academy Awards telecast Sugar Ray's film clip was shown when introducing Christian Bale as the nominee.

Hines Ward, 34 - NFL wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers and a two-time Super Bowl winner. Watch out for these pro football players. Historically they have either won or placed at least in the Top 5.

Chris Jericho, 40 - WWF/WWE wrestling champion and a game show host on ABC's "Downfall." Not many wrestlers have been on "Dancing with the Stars." This should be interesting.

Actors

Ralph Macchio, 49 - The one and only original Karate Kid who started off the successful sequels and recent remake with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. He was also the star of the comedy film "My Cousin Vinny."

Chelsea Kane, 22 - Every season there is yet another Disney star for the young crowd to cheer on. She is the star of Disney Channel's animated TV series "Fish Hooks."

Kirstie Alley, 60 - When I read she was age 60 I couldn't believe it. She actually looks good for her age. They announced her as the outrageous actress. I have a feeling Kirstie is going to be outrageous on the show this season. She's the star of the hit comedy film "Look Who's Talking."

Reality TV, Music and Other Media

Kendra Wilkinson, 25 - A reality TV star on the E! television network. I don't know much about her.

Romeo, 21 - All I know he is a rapper, which is a foreign music genre to me. I know absolutely nothing about that type of music. He is the son of the infamous Master P who appeared on "Dancing with the Stars" in an early season. Romeo is this season's youngest cast member.

Wendy Williams, 46 - She has her very own talk show that bears Wendy's name.

Petra Nemcova, 31 - Tom Bergeron introduced her as a supermodel and survivor. Petra was not in attendance during the revealing ceremony as she was speaking at the U.N. How can a supermodel be a survivor when their lives are so perfect in every way? In 2004 Petra and her photographer boyfriend were in the middle of a tsunami. Her boyfriend was killed, but she hung on for dear life from a palm tree for eight hours. Afterwards, she was in the hospital for several months with a broken pelvis.

Mike Catherwood, 31 - Last but I guess least is LA radio personality on KROQ-FM. He is co-host of "Love Line." I'm not into talk radio whatsoever and not familiar with this program.

One thing that is already obvious from this new season there are no ringers with dancing pop stars or any aging dancers from another era. It looks like everyone is on an even playing field for once. Season 12 of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres Monday, March 21.

Although Sugar Ray was a boxer, wasn't he known for being so light on his feet that he was referred to be dancing? I dunno about the Karate Kid actor -seems like DWTS is digging a little too deep in the past of has-beens to be a "star". At least Sugar Ray is a sport legend, what has Ralph really done?
