'Dancing with the Stars' Episode 11: Rock Week Means Lots of Dances for the Dancers
Kurt and Anna Hit Bottom; Bristol and Mark Fly Up
Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani
Tony told Audrina that Bruno Tonioli may have picked on her because she's thinking too much. According to Tony, Audrina is a sweet, wholesome girl. To get her to be more aggressive, he took her to a mix martial arts class. Dressed in red hot outfits, Audrina and Tony danced the Paso Doble.
"You're getting on my nerves," said Len Goodman. "Every week it lacks the character of the dance."
Bruno Tonioli said that there has to be passion in Latin, and Audrina doesn't have it. Carrie Ann Inaba said she has shown improvement, but agrees with Len and Bruno. Audrina lacks the "attention" behind the moment, Carrie Ann asserted.

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer
Kyle says it's time to hit the panic button, because the couple is at the bottom of the leaderboard. To help him out, he recorded his steps to practice at home. Even his brother Chris put on a female blouse, as a joke, as he danced with Kyle to help him practice.
Where Audrina lacks passion, that has never been Kyle's problem. As Len acknowledged, Kyle's dances are "performance driven," but there has to be a balance.
Bruno was very pleased and said Kyle's footwork was so much better. Carrie Ann agreed. Even Len, after giving the couple a score of 5 last week, was able to say it was an improvement, although a bit rough.

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough
The energy the two had last week was bad, but Derek says Jennifer may not connect well with the Fox Trot, but she does fine with the Paso Doble. The concern is to make sure her neck is fine, and that she doesn't injure it.
It was a difficult dance for Jennifer. "Jennifer you need to calm down a little bit," said Carrie Ann. "You're going downhill."
Len agreed. Bruno, in his crazy, dramatic way, also agreed.

Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke
"Two weeks in a row I've been told I have to turn up the romance," says Rick. He called it the "redemption tango." But Rick can't analyze every step, says Cheryl, one of the best dancers at Dancing with the Stars.
Len Goodman felt they did an excellent job.
"A little bit more romance, but you've done the job," said Bruno.
"I think you did amazing," said Carrie Ann. However, Carrie Ann reminded Rick not to look so stern when he dances.

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas
Bristol forgot a lot of her steps in the monkey suit last week. This time, Bristol wanted to do an air guitar section to show more performance. Mark gave Bristol a guitar lesson to help her get some personality. This week Bristol performed much better than last week.
"That was ridiculously amazing," said Carrie Ann.
"Last week a chimp, almost a champ," said Len.

Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya
To get the performance out of Kurt, Anna had to try to get his wild side out. She invited rock and roller Bret Michaels to get the job done. Kurt came out in a few outfits, but when he dressed like Bret Michaels, Bret approved.
"The dance was sort of scruffy, scruffy," said Carrie Ann.
" I could see what you were trying to do, but it didn't come off," said Len.
"You looked like you were doing karate instead of Spanish dances," said Bruno.

Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Brandy and Maksim had a difficult rehearsal week. Brandy got frustrated again, like she was at the beginning of Dancing with the Stars. "Trust in us as a couple, " said Maksim.
"You're my hero, Max," said Len. "The dance of the night."
"I had goose bumps all over my arms," said Carrie Ann.

Then there was a Rock and Roll Dance Marathon. One tap on the shoulder means you're out. The dance is 4 minutes nonstop. Dressed in 50's gear, the stars prepared for the difficult challenge.
Brandy and Max were the last standing. They also topped the leaderboard again, with their first performance of the night.
The results of episode 11 will air 9/8c on Tuesday, October 26 on ABC

Post a CommentI had to grudgingly admit that Bristol did much better this week. Kyle is still my favorite, though.
Great recap! Thanks for keeping me up to date =0)
