Dancing with the Stars: Fall 2007 Season Five Predictions

Who Will Win Dancing with the Stars This Season?

Christi Bowers
Dancing with the Stars is in its fifth season on ABC for the Fall of 2007. It premiered on September 24, 2007 for a three-night seductional preview into the new season. This time, there were twelve stars paired with twelve wonderful professional dancers. We saw the likes of some "seasoned" stars, such as Wayne Newton, Marie Osmond, and Jane Seymour. We also saw some "young bucks" come onto the stage, including model Albert Reed and acress/singer Sabrina Ryan.

The stars all came out the first week with a bang, delivering top-notch performances which wowed the judges. From this first week, it seemed that anyone had the potential to win. Everyone gave their all.

So, the question is, who is going to win Dancing with the Stars Season 5? During the first week, Josie Moran, the model and actress, was eliminated. During the second week, Albert Reed the model was eliminated. I have to say, I was quite disappointed that he left so early, because I agreed with the judges that he had potential. I just thought he was a little too uptight (similar to how I feel about Floyd Mayweather.)

Here is my lineup for who will be eliminated in the weeks to come, in order, with the last one winning it all.

10. For week 3, with the competition airing on October 8th and elimination on October 9th, I predict the next to go is Wayne Newton. Wayne Newton has graced us with his presence as Mr. Las Vegas for many years. I think that so far the only thing that has kept him alive so far. I deeply appreciate his entire career as a performer, and how he gives it his all every night. I just don't think he has the dancing talent he needs to move forward. Sorry, Wayne.

9. I predict in Week 4 that Floyd Mayweather will be leaving us. Floyd is a great boxer, but he doesn't translate this to dancing. To me, he seems uptight and just kind of doesn't have a real nack for the dancing. I don't see him as having a huge fan base either.

8. For Week 5, I am feeling that we will lose Jennie Garth. Although she was sometimes a sweetheart in 90210, I feel she isn't that sweet in the competition. Her personality to me is a bit awkward and not 100% friendly. I really feel she should have left already. This opinion doesnt' solely come from the fact that she slipped and fell, because it could happen to anyone and I think it was partially her partner's fault. I do feel, however, that she is very uptight and doesn't seem to flow. She doesn't seem to smile much either. There is something off about her.

7. Week 6 we are going to lose Mark Cuban. Mark Cuban, as owner of the NBA team the Dallas Mavericks, has it all. He's a great guy out there while he's performing. He has fun. But, I don't think he has the fan base to keep him alive. He is good-looking, but not as endearing as Helio Castroneves and Cameron Mathison. He also is a little uptight on the floor.

6. In the 7th week of competition, I feel Melanie Brown is going to leave. Even though she is able to bring her talents as a dancer from her years as Scary Spice, I don't think she will be sticking around. I think she has potential, but I'm not sure she'll tap into it in time to beat out Marie Osmond's cute quality, passion, smiling and fan base.

5. Marie Osmond, I think you will be leaving during Week 8. Everyone knows and loves you, Marie. Your fan base is great, but you lack a small amount of the general talent and flow needed to get you into the top 4.

4. I hate to see it, but I think Jane Seymour is leaving us in Week 9. I have always liked Jane Seymour as an actress. I especially liked the film she starred in with Superman's Christopher Reeves in the 1980 movie "Somewhere in Time." Jane will get alot of votes because of her popularity, and much for her laid-back style and precision, as well as her incredible body!, but I think she won't be hip enough to stay for the finale.

3. The finale will host Cameron Mathison, Sabrina Ryan and Helio Castroneves. Cameron, the daytime soap star, will be eliminated first, and then Helio, the Indy 500 champion. Sabrina, the "Cheetah girl," will take it all the way home. I feel Sabrina will win because she has this perfection on the dance floor, it's as if she is gliding through the dances. She has raw talent, a large fan base, and incredible dedication.

She's going to have a serious run for her money, but there are a few reasons I think she'll go all the way. First, I think we are ready for a female winner, after some seasons with men winning. Second, I think she will persevere and perfect the complicated dance moves and grace her way with ease.

So, do you agree with my predictions? Feel free to leave your comments. My question to you is, if I get these all right, is anyone willing to give me a prize?
