Dancing with the Stars: Hot "Sex and the City" Hunk, Gilles Marini is Steps Ahead of the Competition

Those of you who've seen "Sex and the City" know there's a lot to love about French actor and international heartthrob, Gilles Marini. As Samantha's hot, nude neighbor in SATC, Gilles wowed the movie going audience with his obvious attributes. As it happens, Marini has more than one trick up his sleeve. Turns out, he's no slouch with his clothes on either. After two rounds of Dancing,Gilles Marini is steps ahead of his closest competitor, Melissa Rycroft, who was last seen being unceremoniously dumped by the erstwhile and earnest bachelor, Jason Mesnick, on "The Bachelor: After Final Rose".

After suffering a separated shoulder during practice, Marini's appearance was questionable but after consulting with his doctors he opted to stay in the competition. After two rounds, the lithe Frenchman has proven that his talents go far beyond just being eye candy. Marini is more than just a good looking guy with some good hip action. On the dance floor he has a come hither sexiness and dramatic sensuality that just about sizzles. He moves, not only with the requisite grace and rhythm but he seems completely at home in his skin, wearing the mantle of sex symbol effortlessly. What makes these feats of dancing excellence all the more interesting is the fact that Marini says he's never danced before.

While it's obvious Marini is more than just some touchable pecs and tight buns, his partner two-time Dancing With the Stars champ, Cheryl Burke is leaving nothing to chance. As an incentive to get the people; read women, watching and voting, she is quoted on the dailystab blog as saying, "Every week we advance, he will lose one piece of clothing. He's the naked guy from the Sex and the City movie, and people know he has a great body. So he can pull it off."

On Dancing's premiere show Marini and Cheryl performed a Cha Cha that was sensuous and sexy. During practice Cheryl told Gilles that dance needed to be so sexy people were uncomfortable to watch. In the words of Carrie Ann Inaba, "WooHoo!" Those who, like judge Len Goodman, thought Gilles was a one week wonder were definitely in for a pleasant surprise. In Clark Kent specs, Marini and Cheryl performed a Superman inspired Quick Step that was, in a word, SUPER!!!

There's no denying that Marini and Burke have great chemistry. She is hoping to be the first three time champion in the history of the show. If these first two outings are any indication then Cheryl should start making room for another trophy.
