'Dancing with the Stars': Jennifer Grey was Flawless -- Will She Win?

Jacqueline Winslow
Last night was Part One of the "Dancing with the Stars" Finale. We can all tune in tonight for the final dancing. As for last night's predictions, after Round One, Jennifer Grey was beyond flawless. She has proved throughout this show that, if you work hard, anything is possible. Yes, we try to teach the kids values even as we watch "Dancing with the Stars."

Kyle showed us his true personality. Bristol danced her freestyle that left us wondering if Mark Ballas was a Bristol hater.

This show is getting too political! If you haven't noticed, the reason "DWTS" has such high ratings is Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin. Ahem. I personally hate politics intertwining with the show, as I am watching solely for the dancing. So, politics aside, let's get to the dancing!

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough: 30/30 + 30/30 = 60/60 Triple Tens-Twice! Jen got to redeem herself last night and redo the Paso Doble. Let me just say she did that and more. She not only had redemption, but she showed America exactly why we all love this show: Her dancing was flawless!

Jen's second dance was "Do You Love Me." She decided not to go with her memorable song she danced with Patrick Swayze. Good choice! At times I wondered why Derek didn't go all out with tricks, but he simply worked as she danced beautifully!

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer: 27/30 + 29/30 = 56/60 Again, this is redemption for each of the three celebrities. Kyle and Lacey chose to repeat their foxtrot. Let me just say I haven't been a huge Kyle fan, but last night he really showed that he was here to win.

Their freestyle is where they really showcased Kyle's true potential as they danced to "Tootsie Roll." Not only were they amazing, they were the true meaning of "Dancing with the Stars." We want to see celebrities showcased, and boy did Lacey showcase Kyle Massey. He rose to every challenge given to him and he danced, danced, danced! Yeah for Kyle.

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas: 27/30 + 25/30 = 52/60 Last night she danced a beautiful dance that got her 9s. She danced the jive to the song "Move." I thought it was one of her best dances. Did she have enough tricks? I'm not sure, but Jennifer Grey didn't either, so the trophy will probably go to the best dancing.

Her second dance was the freestyle to "Cell Block Tango," and oh did Mark Ballas do her wrong. Not only did he pick a song that would not showcase her abilities at all, he showcased her weaknesses. Even before they started dancing, I was already questioning why he would pick that song. I sat after the dance dumbstruck that a professional could do a celebrity so wrong.

As for Bristol, she gave it her best shot. They had a tug of war with a red ribbon, ok, I'll admit... it was lacking. Either way, she looked great and she danced her heart out.

Did you think Mark Ballas showcased Bristol Palin?
