Margaret Cho said farewell to DWTS. Can we all say it was about time? Yes, she gave her heart out, but when you start getting political on the dance floor, really? Maybe it didn't bother you, but I had children sitting on the couch asking what her story was, having to go into a very political and moral issue; just wasn't what I wanted to do on DWTS night. That isn't to say we haven't had moral and political discussions, because we have. But come on Margaret, you got voted off. Guess America as a whole didn't like your political stunt either. Dancing with the Stars is about relaxation and enjoyment. We don't want to deal with moral issues like gays, lesbians, and their rights or not having rights. Leave politics for the evening news.
Elimination week wasn't without a few surprises. Bristol Palin ended up beside Cho, which isn't a big surprise. Her dancing last night left viewers wanting more. She has such a natural beauty, but her nerves have gotten her every time. She needs to just relax, or she could be the next to go.
As the weeks progress, it really will be up to the celebrities to show America why they should stay. Many voters are about whom they love rather than who can actually dance. Then again, those who can really dance have the ability to sway DWTS voters.
Dancers like Michael Bolton were kicked off the show because he simply couldn't dance. Although Bruno's comments were harsh, as a DWTS judge, he gets his right to his opinion. Dancers have to be able to handle the harsh comments, no matter how hard they are. When they start complaining, DWTS voters tend to categorize them as "high maintenance."
"Story Week" on Dancing with the Stars is about showing America that you can create a story, act it out, and really dance your heart out. Was Margaret Cho smart to pick "gays and lesbians" as her theme for "Story Week" on Dancing with the Stars?
