Dancing with the Stars Partners Matched Up for Upcoming Season 11

Celebrities have officially been teamed up with a pro-dance partner, each with the hopes of winning the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. To win involves not only hard work, but mostly fan votes keep them in the competition. Now that the twelve celebrities have been partnered up with a professional dancer, lets take a look at who is who.

Many are big name celebrities, sports stars, popular and successful artists. And I have to admit a few of the "stars" are people I've never heard of before. Fan votes are important in the competition, so the big name stars already seem to have a leg up on the rest. Because viewers will go into the show with preconceived favorites. Making the competition that much harder to stay in.

The Celebrity/Pro-Dance Teams Have Been Announced:

Team Jenougher is Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough. She's best known for her role as "Baby Houseman" on Dirty Dancing, considered one of the most notable dance movies of all time. Other films she starred in include Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Red Dawn, The Cotton Club, and Bounce. She's married to director/actor Clark Gregg, they have one daughter, and live in Los Angeles.

Team Michael Bolton is of course, Michael Bolton and Chelsie Hightower.
Everyone knows who Michael Bolton is. A famous singer who has sold over 53 million records, made 18 albums, and the recipient of several Grammy Awards. His voice has solidified his star status and earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This year he released another album, this one titled One World One Love, and co-wrote a song with Lady Gaga. He started his own charity in 1993, The Michael Bolton Charities, Inc. MBC focuses on stopping violence against women. The foundation has raised more than $6, in an effort to support children and women at risk for domestic violence, neglect, homelessness, poverty, and abuse.

Team Fox-C is Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke. He is a former L.A. Laker who earned three NBA Championships. His credentials also state that he is an actor and producer. His acting debut was in Blue Chips, in 1994. He has also appeared in He Got Game, Oz, Meet The Browns, and Holes.

Team TorinA has Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani. She is an aspiring actress who has appeared on The Hills for six seasons and a few films like Sorority Row, Blue 2, and Honey 2.

Team Brandy is Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Most everyone knows that Brandy is a R&B and pop singer with albums that have gone platinum. She's most famous for her role on Moesha, the show ran from 1996 to 2001. She was just 15-years-old when her debut album was released, and it went on to sell more than 6 million copies. Her biggest song to date is The Boy is Mine, a duet she sang with Monica. Her records have sold over 30 million copies to date. Brandy has had a successful career as an actress. She also has her own charity, The Norwood Kids Foundation, that supports music in public schools.

Team Ballin' is Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas.
Bristol is most known for being Sarah Palin's daughter. I expect that she will do really well in the competition, but that is merely speculation. She's young and beautiful, so she has a good chance of sticking around for a while.

Team Dance Hoff is none other than David Hasselhoff and Kym Johnson.
He's "The Hoff", not much more to say about the former Baywatch star. You already know all about him.

Team Florky is Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas.
Yes, Mrs. Brady will be dancing this season. She is sure to have the older vote, and a strong fame following. But will that be enough to keep her dancing? Guess we'll have to wait and see. I imagine it would be hard to compete with her level of fame, so she is likely to be in the competition for a while.

Team KURTanna is Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya.
Warner led the St. Louis Rams to Super Bowl XXXIV victory in 1999. It wasn't the only time he made it to the Super Bowl. He has been listed as Most Valuable Player, played Pro Bowl multiple times, and is known for his record breaking abilities. He and his wife Brenda formed their own charity in 2001. First Things First Foundation is dedicated to promoting and encouraging Christian values. He and Brenda live in Arizona, where they raise their seven children.

Team Schmurgles is Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer. He's the youngest competitor this season and not as known as most of the other competitors. He is an actor who stars on the Disney channel's Cory in the House. Interestingly enough he also sang the title song for the movie Underdog, Cory In The House, and Yin! Yang! Yo!. He is an avid gold player, participating in celebrity golf tournaments. He and his brother have traveled to Africa to help the charity organization Feed the Children. He currently co-hosts World's Funniest Moments.

Team Van Cho Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel. She first performed her stand-up routine at the age of 16. Besides being a comedian, she is also an actress, best-selling author, and advocate for equal rights. She is currently on the TV show Drop Dead Diva and still tours for her stand-up and songs from her music comedy. You may recognize her from Sex in the City, Face/Off, or Ghost Whisperer.

Team Situation is Mike Sorrentino and Karina Smirnoff.
He likes to be called "The Situation" on reality show, The Jersey Shore. Believe it or not the dude is working on a vitamin line, a book, and fitness DVD. Good luck with that.
