Dancing with the Stars' Remaining Eight Contestants: Fall '07

If you're like me, you don't know much about the background of the contestants on the television show Dancing With Stars. As of now, there are eight remaining contestants. Below is a list and a little background on each.

Melanie Brown - Melanie is a member of the well known band, Spice girls; specifically, she is known as "Scary Spice." Also she has produced solo albums, and she is the wife of Stephen Belafonte and has two children. Along with singing, she has also done acting in her career.

Sabrina Bryan - She has been a performer since the very young age of seven. She does both singing and acting. A lot of her popularity has come from her role in the Disney channel movie, "The Cheetah Girls." She was born and raised in Orange County and has also helped produce a fitness dvd, BYOU, which teaches hip-hop dancing as an enjoyable way to keep fit.

Helio Castroneves - Helio is a Brazilian IndyCar driver, and a very good one at that. He has been a member of various racing teams, and he won the Indianapolis 500 twice in a row in 2001 and 2002. He is only the fifth driver to ever accomplish this. Some fans have nicknamed him "Spider-Man" because of the way he climbs the track side fence during celebrations.

Mark Cuban - Cuban is an American billionaire entrepreneur. He owns the Dallas Mavericks, an NBA team, and he is also the chairman of the HDTV cable network, HDNet. He currently lives in Dallas, and is married to Tiffany Stewart, an advertising executive, and they have one child together. He acquired vast wealth from e-commerce, and is on Forbes list of the richest people in the world.

Jennie Garth - Jennie Garth is best known for her role of Kelly Taylor on the television series Beverly Hills, 90210. She was born in Illinois, and grew up on a twenty-five acre horse ranch. At the age of eleven, her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. While living in this new location, she took dance lessons and did some modeling. She and her mother later moved to Los Angeles, where her acting career took off.

Cameron Mathison- Mathison was born in Canada, and is an accomplished actor. He gained much of his fame by playing the role of Ryan Lavery on the soap opera, "All My Children." Also, he has been the host of the reality show, I Wanna Be a Soap Star since its debut in 2004.

Marie Osmond- Osmond has been a singer, actress, show host, and entrepreneur throughout the years. In 1976, she and her brother hosted the show called "Donny & Marie." In the realm of entrepreneurship, she has started her own doll company called "Marie Osmond Fine Porcelain Collection Dolls." Her fame has been accomplished through a wide variety of ventures.

Jane Seymour - This actress was born in London, England, in 1951. One of her best known appearances was her role in the James Bond film, Live and Let Die. Also, her popularity soared from her role in the television series, "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman." She has had roles in many other productions and is a very accomplished actress.
