Dancing with the Stars Results: America Says Farewell to a Tearful Kate Gosselin

Joyce Carole
Tonight is the night much of America has been waiting for. Let me say it slowly and savor the words. Kate Gosselin is going home. Never again will we have to watch the famous mother of eight grace the DWTS dance floor (grace may not be the best word to describe Kate's moves on the dance floor).

I am going to skip over all of the filler that sucks up much of the Dancing with the Stars results show and concentrate instead on the results of the night, with a little bit of my own commentary on the side.

Kate Gosselin Lands in the Bottom Two

Dancing with the Stars got off to a quick start by bringing the top couple Nicole and Derek and the bottom couple Kate and Tony to the forefront. Nicole and Derek were of course, deemed safe for the week, while surprise, surprise Kate and Tony landed in the bottom two.

Judges Recap Last Night's Dances

Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman takes us through the highlights and lowlights of last night. Niecy, Kate and Chad are at the bottom of the leader board and need to up their game in order to stay in the competition. Len gives accolades to the top two couples Nicole and Derek and Evan and Anna. The DWTS judges deem "movie night" a success.

Jake and Chelsea Give an Encore Performance of Their Cha Cha Cha

I have to admit that the stories that had been popping up about Jake being a "big meanie" during his practices with Chelsea combined with his constant insincere grin; have made me a bit harsh towards the Bachelor. He and Chelsea did perform a pretty fun Cha Cha and for someone who has not danced before, he is not bad. Do I care for him as a person? Based on what I have seen on ABC's The Bachelor and the Dancing with the Stars practice recaps, not particularly, but this is a dancing competition and Jake Pavelka is showing improvement in his dancing.

More Dancing with the Stars Couples Find Out if They are Safe

Niecy and Louie are pronounced safe for another week and it is no big surprise that Evan and Anna are pronounced safe. Erin and Max are the final couple granted early safety.

Three Couples Find Out They are in Jeopardy

Chad and Cheryl, Jake and Chelsea and Pamela and Damian are told they are still in jeopardy. We now know that one of these three couples will join Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani in the bottom two.

Pamela and Damian Once Again Land in the Bottom Two

The judges quickly announce that Jake and Chelsea along with Chad and Cheryl are safe and that it is Pamela and Damian who are in the bottom two along with Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani. I am pretty sure that Bruno will have a fit if Pamela is sent home over Kate.

Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani are the ones to leave Dancing with the Stars.

Thank goodness Kate has left the floor. As a viewer, it was beyond uncomfortable to watch her attempt at dancing. What was really surprising to me was that she was a text book example of a bipolar personality disorder on display. Well, Tony--you can now move on to enjoying the day again!

Kate tried, but like she said, "she just didn't get it", A+ for your recap

It was time for Kate to leave us. Cheers :)
