Tuesday night (October 18) on "Dancing with the Stars" results show it opened with a Madonna dance tribute. It was accompanied by the DWTS Troupe to close out the 80s Week theme. For the second straight week there was no encore dance selected by the judges. Obviously there was a lot to cram into in a one-hour show with two musical guests.

Kelly Clarkson was in excellent form, both vocally and physically, to sing her latest hit "Mr. Know It All" from her newly released album "Stronger." However, when she returned to perform near the close of the show with her massive hit song "Walk Away" she was on fire with her famous power vocals. It was like hearing her when she was competing on the inaugural season of "American Idol." It was a nice touch when Tom Bergeron spoke with Kelly the first time. She loved the dance team of Kym Johnson and Tristan McManus. Tom mentioned she should be on the show. That is a great idea.

Another musical guest was a family act, The Band Perry, who is nominated for numerous country music awards as well as the upcoming American Music Awards. They performed "If I Die Young" while Karina Smirnoff and Louis Van Amstel danced by candlelight. Instead of the Macy's Stars of Dance we were treated to a very exceptional dancer, Charm LaDonna, who overcame a difficult life living in Compton, California. Her mother struggled financially to pay for her dance lessons. Eventually she earned her first break from Madonna. Later on she went to college and is now teaching at the elementary school she went to. Charm danced with pros Mark Ballas and Derek Hough to a Matrix-like production. All eyes were definitely on Charm LaDonna's performance.

Now it's on with the eliminations; the first two couples, Ricki and Derek and Hope and Maks. Ricki was safe, but not Hope. Unfortunately Hope and Maks were in jeopardy. J.R. and Karina, David and Kym and Rob and Cheryl were the next three couples to learn their fates. It was David and Kym who were in jeopardy. Last but not least the three remaining couples: Chaz and Lacey, Carson and Anna and Nancy and Tristan had to wait for most of the show to learn who was safe or not. Sadly, Carson and Anna were the ones in jeopardy. The bottom two couples ended up being Hope and Maks and Carson and Anna.

Obviously it was Carson and Anna who were eliminated from the competition . The audience was not at all happy with this result. Afterwards, the crowd then got quiet. Carson Kressley has been one of my favorites since week one. I will miss him dearly, so will a lot of fans. He added so much fun and laughter to the show. No other celebrity has been able to do that. Next week is the Broadway theme. Now with seven dancers remaining the competition is starting to get very serious.
