Finally after a two week absence the encore dance was brought back on Tuesday night's "Dancing with the Stars " results show . Kristin Chenoweth and Martina McBride were promoting their latest CD releases. Choreographer Kenny Ortega put together an outstanding Broadway tribute with "High School Musical's" Corbin Bleu. Pro dancers Lacey Schwimmer and Mark Ballas danced with children from the Los Angeles area for an adorable Halloween number for next week's theme. No shocking eliminations were to be had, but someone had to go home.

Encore Dance

At long last J.R. and Karina got their long-awaited encore dance. It was about time. In season's past they usually had the group number as the encore, but that was such an elaborate undertaking. Nevertheless, it was great seeing their quickstep to "Hot Honey Rag" from the Broadway musical "Chicago."

Musical Guest Performances

Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth returned once again to "Dancing with the Stars" this time to sing her latest release from the CD "Some Lessons Learned". The title track "Lesson Learned" showcased her country roots from the Oklahoma native. Country superstar, Martina McBride, returned to the ballroom to promote her album and the upcoming CMAs. Her latest single "Love You Through It" is about a woman battling cancer.

Macy's Stars of Dance with Kenny Ortega

One of the best offerings so far this season was a Broadway tribute to the famous musicals named after or about the streets and neighborhoods of New York City. Choreographed by Kenny Ortega it started out with "42nd Street" followed by the gang-infused "West Side Story" to the contemporary setting of Washington Heights from "In the Heights." Corbin Bleu was impressive with his dancing and singing skills, especially climbing the fenced cage during the number from "West Side Story."

The Results

It wouldn't be a results show without the results. Right after performing their encore dance J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff were the only couple awaiting their fate. Naturally they will be returning for the Halloween night performance show next week. Now six couples remained who were brought out throughout the show in pairs. Ricki Lake and Derek Hough along with Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus were both safe obviously. This is when the show relived the intense emotions of one celebrity and one pro dancer from Monday night.

In the confessional Chaz was angry about Bruno's insensitive remarks and rightfully so. This time Maks apologized for his bold remark of this being his show. Can the judges, especially Bruno as well as Maks, please grow up. You are professionals. Needless to say there was only a bottom two consisting of the jeopardized couples, Chaz and Lacey and Hope and Maks.

Children's Halloween Dance Number

To honor next week's Halloween theme pro dancer Lacey Schwimmer choreographed a delightful number showcasing elementary school children from the LA area dressed up as Halloween characters and other costumes. Schwimmer and Mark Ballas, along with the children, danced to a contemporary number of "This is Halloween." At the end there was a cute computer graphic image of a ghost that looked realistic flying by.

Final Elimination

Inevitably Chaz Bono was eliminated from the competition at Top 7. One of the most memorable exits to ever take place is when Chaz made the following statement: "I came on to this show because I wanted to show America a different kind of man. I know that if there was somebody like me on TV when I was growing up, my whole life would have been different. So I dedicate everything I did to all the people out there like me, especially the kids and teens who are struggling. You can have a wonderful great life and be successful and happy."
