After receiving a combined score of 16, the second lowest score of the night on Tuesday night, Denise Richards and her partner, Maxim Chmerkovskiy, found themselves in the bottom two. Holly Madison and Dmitry Chaplin joined Denise and Max in the bottom two after receiving a combined score of 17 on Tuesday for their Samba. The new rule this season is the two couples at the bottom of the leader board will have one more chance to compete in a dance off to impress the judges and improve their scores. The old judges scored are thrown out and the new scores are added to the viewer votes to determine who stays and who goes homes. Holly and Dmitry took to the floor first with their Samba routine and the judges said it was a hot performance and they received a new combined score of 18 replacing Tuesday night's 17. Denise and Maxsim performed the Samba as well. Denise was praised by the judges for her improvement and was told she deserved to stay in the competition. They received a new combined score of 20 replacing Tuesday night's 16. After the new judges' scores were combined with the viewer votes, Denise and Max were eliminated from the competition.

After being told that his combined score of 10 was the lowest score ever received by a contestant in six seasons, Steve Wozniak was given the good news that he was safe and will be dancing next week. It was no surprise to learn that the three couples at the top of the leader board, Melissa and Tony, Giles and Cheryl and Shawn and Mark will be back to dance next week. Football legend, Lawrence Taylor, will be back next week along with country star and Julianne Hough's boyfriend, Chuck Wicks. Funnyman David Alen Grier, rapper Lil Kim, rodeo star Ty Murray and daredevil Steve-O will also be dancing again next week.

The #1 selling duo in music history, Hall and Oates, performed their class hit Maneater to a beautifully choreographed dance by a team of professional dancers. British sensation and Grammy Award winner, Adele, performed her newest song, Chasing Pavements. The contestants will perform two new and challenging dances next week, the Lindy Hop and the Argentine Tango. Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballis performed a humorous demonstration of both dances to give the viewers a preview of next week's dances.
