'Dancing With the Stars': Results Show with Controversial Singer Chris Brown While "Psycho" Mike Catherwood was the First to Go

Tom Bergeron and Pro Dancers Had Nothing to Do with Musical Guest Chris Brown Plus the DWTS Troupe was Introduced

It was the very first results show for Season 12 on "Dancing with the Stars." The show opened with the pro dancers and some new ones in the mix with a lively production number. What a way to start it off! Just like in seasons past it was time to get to the results shortly thereafter. Also, the controversial Chris Brown wasn't very welcomed by certain members of the cast. Tom Bergeron did not have to interview him only introduce what he was singing. None of the pro dancers accompanied his performances. It was business as usual when one person had to go home at the end of Tuesday night (March 29).

Results - The Three Athletes

After seeing some backstage footage on them Hines Ward, Sugar Ray Leonard and Chris Jericho were brought out onstage. They would be the first group to learn their fate. Only Sugar Ray Leonard was in jeopardy while Hines and Chris were safe.

Chris Brown Performs His Latest

He performed the single release "Yeah 3X" with a bunch of cute kid dancers. His music is not my type, so I briefly stepped away. Couldn't they come up with a catchier song title?

Results - The Three Actors

Next they brought out the three actors that consisted of Ralph Macchio, Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane. Guess what they were all safe.

Introducing the "Dancing with the Stars" Dance Troupe

Tom Bergeron had mentioned there would be a DWTS dance troupe on the first results show. We were finally introduced to them one by one. They consist of six dancers, three ladies and three men. Their names are: Peta, Tristan, Ted, Nicole, Oksana and Kiki. Each week on every results show they will perform with the pro dancers as well as on their own. This is more to my liking than having those dreadfully sounding pop/hip hop/rap stars and their obnoxious auto-tuning vocals hurting my ears.

Results - 2 Guys Standing

That left "Psycho" Mike Catherwood and Romeo to find out their fates. Romeo was definitely safe, but Mike was in jeopardy.

Chris Brown with a Medley of His Past Hits

Talk about a heavy dose of auto-tuning. It was more than I could stand. I walked out of the room. When I got back there was a colorful neon light show that included his dancers all lit up. He performed a medley of "Forever" and "Beautiful."

Design-A-Dance: The Dance has been Chosen

For season 12 there is the Design-A-Dance contest. You can participate at the show's official website. The dance has been selected which will be the jive. That is an excellent choice.

Results - Last Three Ladies Left

Kendra Wilkinson, Wendy Williams and Petra Nemcova were brought out after being interviewed by Brooke. Kendra and Petra are safe for another week, but Wendy was in jeopardy.

Final Results

The bottom three consisted of Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Catherwood and Wendy Williams. Of course Wendy William's huge fanbase saved her for another week. That left Sugar Ray and Mike in the bottom two with Mike being the first one eliminated in Season 12. Not surprising since Mike lacked name recognition and dance ability. Next week the celebrities will tell their own personal story in the theme of "Story Week." This should be very interesting, not to mention touching.
