'Dancing With the Stars' Results Show: Toby Keith Provided the Music While Petra Nemcova is Out
Toby Keith Performed Two of His Biggest Hits, Macy's Stars of Dance Performed an "American Dream", A Supermodel Goes Home
Results - Lone Scorers
These were the two couples who did not tie with anyone else. Hines Ward and Kym Johnson as well as Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were the lone scorers. Hines was safe while Kirstie remained in jeopardy.
Encore Dance - Romeo and Chelsie
The judges wanted to see the very entertaining foxtrot by Romeo and Chelsie Hightower. It was great hearing the song "New York New York" once again.
Toby Keith - "Should've Been a Cowboy"
Keith's first song was his big hit from the 1990s. The newly formed DWTS Troupe performed. Afterwards, Brooke interviewed the three couples who all tied at "26." Chelsea Kane revealed next week's theme is about guilty pleasures.
Results - 26 Scorers
Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke, Romeo and Chelsie Hightower and Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas learned of their fates. Chris and Cheryl were in jeopardy. Following after these results there was a silly and somewhat crude comedy sketch I thought was in very poor taste. It isn't even worth commenting any further.
Macy's Stars of Dance - American Dream
Here is where Brooke Burke kept messing up a number of times while introducing the choreographer and the dance company. Thankfully Tom Bergeron saved the night by correctly making the proper introductions. This was a dance performance titled "American Dream" set in New York City. It was a lively contemporary dance set to hip hop music on the streets and subways of New York.
Results - 22 scorers
Last but not least, the final group of three couples who all tied at the bottom. Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin, Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel and Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff were left standing while it was Petra and Dmitry in jeopardy. When they announced Petra's name I had a bad feeling she was going to be eliminated.
Toby Keith - "American Soldier"
Here was his second performance from the latest single "American Soldier" accompanied by the real life husband/wife team of Anna Trebunskya and Jonathon Roberts. They did a breath-taking dance. It is such a joy seeing them each season.
Final Results
Petra, Chris and Kirstie were the bottom three. Kirstie was the first to be announced as safe. Duh! They are the most hyped and popular couple this season, bar none. Sadly, it was Petra's name that was announced as going home. She was truly sad to leave the competition. You could see her tears were sincere. I will definitely miss her. I'm really looking forward to her return during the finale.
Next week the theme will be on music you like, but you're not suppose to like. What kind of theme is that? The musical guests will be New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys and Pia Toscano from "American Idol." Pia was my favorite former finalist. Good on her!
