Dancing With the Stars results for week eight took place on May 18th. The Dancing With the Stars Results Show elimination for May 18th sent home the eighth celebrity contestant of the 10th season of the show. The lowest score of the May 17 performance show was that of Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke, who scored only 52 out of 60 this week.

It could have put the couple at risk of being in the bottom two for the first time this week, and needing the fans to step in again and save the day. The second worst scores of the night belong to the couple of Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. During the two dances that they performed (a Waltz and a Paso Doble) they scored a 27out of 30 and a 29 out of 30 to net a total score of just of 56 out of 60 that would normally be near the top of the leaderboard.

This week, there was not a clear leader between the couples as to which one performed the best according to the judges, because two of them ended up tied for the best scores of the night. Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough, who performed a Tango and a Cha Cha on the night, scored 29 points on one dance, and a perfect score of 30 on the second dance, giving them an overly impressive night of 59 out of 60 possible points. Those 59 points equaled what they had last week on the show as well, but they wouldn't remain alone at the top of the leaderboard.

The other couple that ended up tying Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough for the lead this week was Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya. Performing a Fox Trot and a Paso Doble, Anna and Evan notched a perfect score on one dance, and then 29 out of 30 on their other dance. The combined score of 59 out of 60 got them as close to perfection on the night as they could, and made them one of the two couples that were really putting their best foot forward on Monday night.

What this could do is bring a surprise to which couple is voted out this week, leaving everyone at risk of potentially dancing their swan song at the end of the Dancing With the Stars May 18th episode. Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya were the first couple told that they were safe on May 18. Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough were told that they were safe next. That meant that it would be between the couples of Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke as to who would be going home.

The couple with the lowest score and eliminated from Dancing With the Stars on May 18th was Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke.
