Nine couples waited to hear who America had voted for as week six wrapped up. The first two couples to learn they were safe were Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough and Mark DaCascos and Lacey Schwimmer.

The stars revealed theirs fears about facing the double elimination and their nerves were showing. Two more couples were spared any more anguish as Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson along with Aaron and Karina Smirnoff were saved.

Tiempo Libre performed a hot Latin number while guest dancers performed.
This week viewers were invited to vote for costume designs for the

upcoming Macy's Design-A-Dance feature. The stars were shown designing costumes for their professional partners to wear doing next week's show. Some of the fabrics, colors and designs promise to , well, interesting.

Mya and Dmitry were given the good news as were Kelly Osbourne and Louie Van Amstel that they had been saved. Melissa Joan Hart, Louie Vito and Michael Irvin landed in the bottom three meaning one would be leaving and the other two would face the dance-off. As they waited to find out which was which, Taylor Swift sang her hit Love Story while Dancing with the Stars professionals Tony Dovolani, Edyta Sliwinska, Maksim Chemikovsky, Jonathon Roberts, Anna Kerikova and Cheryl Burke waltzed across the ballroom floor.

Olympians Nadea Comaneci, Greg Louganis and Greg Bruns talked about what it takes to achieve a perfect score.

The lowest score from last week sent Melissa Joan Hart home. She thanked her partner Mark Ballas and she was grateful to have gotten a 10 two weeks back. Louie Vito and Michael Irvin waited for their turns to take the floor with new dances to new music in a dance to the death, so to speak.

Michael went first, claiming he was just going to have fun. His Samba was fun and full of wild hips and looked like a party on the dance floor even if it lacked technique.

Louie attempted a jive, fearing the fact that no fans could save him this time. The judges called it fast, sharp and loaded with content. A misstep did not get past the judges.

After a short break, the two remaining couples waited through the heartbeat-like drumming to learn along with the rest of the country that Michael and Anna are saved. Louie Vito and Chelsie Hightower were eliminated.

Next week will also have a double elimination and a team dance.
