The show opened with the judges' choice of a redo of Mya's Salsa that earned her a perfect 30 last night.
Next up was the recap of last night's performances and scores which given three dances per couple was extensive. This was followed by a brief commentary by each of the stars on their competition's strengths and weaknesses.

A musical number, The Italian, from the movie Nine due out next month filled several minutes of air time but was less than impressive. Next, Alicia Keyes sang Try Sleeping with A Broken Heart.

The four stars were featured lip-syncing the song Under Pressure. Last night's two highest scoring couples, Mya and Dmitry and Joanna and Derek faced the moment of truth first. Mya and Dmitry were the first to learn they had made it to the finals. Joanna and Drek were told they had to wait to learn their fates.

Leona Lewis offered her first single, Happy, from her new album Echo.

Donny and Kim stood alongside Kelly and Louie waiting to hear if either pair would progress to the finals. Donny and Kym succeeded. Kelly and Louie would also have to wait to find out their fate.

Robin and Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees made an appearance as they celebrate 50 years of performing. They sang their disco hit You Should Be Dancing. Melissa Rycroft danced with Tony Dovolani and other pros during the number, giving her usual outstanding performance.

All the pros talked about what it's like on those rare opportunities when they get to dance together. Sometimes all the egos in one room, trying to come up with new steps can seem like being in kindergarten. Ultimately, they enjoy the chance to dance with other professional dancers, without being judged. It's the chance to do what they were born to do...dance.

Kelly Osbourne and Joanna Krupa stood center stage, the anxiety plain on their faces. Head Judge said Joanna was the most consistent dancer throughout the show and Kelly had shown amazing improvement. Then Host Tom Bergeron announced that Joanna Krupa is going home. Kelly Osbourne, a crowd favorite advanced t the finals.

Next week's finals will be a real nail-biter as Donny Osmond, a sentimental favorite, Kelly Osbourne, another crowd favorite and Mya, the obvious top dancer compete for the mirror ball trophy.
