'Dancing with the Stars' Season 10 Cast Announced by ABC

ABC's Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron and former contestant Melissa Rycroft delivered some major scoop Monday night, when the long- awaited Season 10 cast of DWTS was announced. In what was undoubtedly a ratings bonanza, Bergeron and Rycroft revealed the names of the Dancing With the Stars cast throughout the Season 14 finale of The Bachelor. And while some of the Season 10 DWTS stars names had been floating around for a while now, there were a few surprise celebrities announced.

Pamela Anderson. The former Baywatch beauty had been long rumored to be on DWTS, with RadarOnline reporting the news early last month. With Anderson on the dance floor, could we have some rock and roll spectators, like ex-husbands Tommy Lee and Kid Rock?

Kate Gosselin. The reality mom has been looking for a new gig ever since ex-husband Jon stopped production of their hit TLC reality show, Jon and Kate Plus 8. While public opinion of Gosselin is mixed, it's sure to be entertaining to watch the mom of 8 make her way on the dance floor. According to RadarOnline, Gosselin won't have to travel too far away from her 8 children, who are all still in school. The network has agreed to let Gosselin practice her dance moves near her Wernersville, PA home.

Evan Lysacek. Since we're in Olympics mode, champion figure skater Lysacek is another timely addition to the DWTS cast. Sure, some will grumble that he has an unfair athletic advantage when it comes to dance, but that didn't stop Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson from taking the DWTS title back in Season 8.

Nicole Sherzinger. The Pussycat Doll's lead singer has graced the DWTS stage before, when she and the Dolls performed songs like Don't Cha and Sway on the show. Now she'll trade in her microphone for some dancing shoes.

Chad Ochocinco. DWTS has frequently featured pro football players and this season is no exception. The Cincinatti Bengals wide receiver known for strutting his stuff on the field will now have a chance to strut his stuff on the dance floor.

Jake Pavelka. Bachelor fans who thought they'd miss seeing Pilot Jake Pavelka every Monday night can think again. He hasn't given up his reality TV gig yet, and says fiancé Vienna Girardi will be in the front row cheering him on at DWTS.

Other stars include All My Children actor Aidan Turner, ESPN's Erin Andrews, Beverly Hills 90210 alum Shannen Doherty, astronaut Buzz Aldrin and comedian Niecy Nash.

Season 10 of Dancing With the Stars premieres on March 22nd at 8:00 PM ET/PT on ABC.
