Who's Left?

Pamela Anderson was eliminated last week leaving 3 girls and 2 guys left to battle it out. Here are how their scores were last week, will things get mixed up at all this week?

- Nicole Scherzinger with Derek Hough - 54/60
- Evan Lysacek with Anna Trebunskaya - 54/60
- Erin Andrews with Maksim Chmerkovskiy - 51/60
- Chad Ochocinco with Cheryl Burke - 52/60
- Niecy Nash with Louis Van Amstel - 49/60

Now on with the Show!
Each couple would dance 2 dances tonight - one Ballroom and one Latin.

Chad Ochocino with Cheryl Burke took the floor first with a tango. Chad is taking it seriously now and was really concentrating during practice. Their tango started out kind of slow and the music was the worst! Who picks this stuff? The couple remained in hold for most of the dance, and the dance remained the same somewhat slow speed throughout. Honestly it was kind of boring except the last move.

The Judges: Len pointed out that learning 2 dances is tough because of the lack of time. He said the dance needed more polish. Bruno said Chad went for the emotion but it wasn't slick enough. Carrie Ann loved the attack but thought the posture was "funky" and wants them to have more fun with their Jive. Scores: CA - 7, L - 7, B - 7, Total: 21/30.

Niecy Nash with Louis Van Amstel were assigned the Viennese Waltz and Niecy needed to show she deserved to stay. With a smile on her face, Niecy looked like she was really in to the character of the dance. She still isn't all that light on her feet but she's getting better. Regardless of technique or smoothness - I'd rather watch Niecy than Chad.

The Judges: Bruno said it was pretty at the beginning but at times she was swinging her arms too harshly. Carrie Ann thought "there was too much push and pull" going on and that transitions were missing. Len was "pleasantly surprised" by her performance. Scores: CA - 7, L - 8, B - 8, Total: 23/30.

Erin Andrews with Maksim Chmerkovskiy had to do an Argentine Tango for their Latin dance. Erin was hesitant during rehearsal to try some of the lifts. The couple started out on the higher stage by the orchestra so that Erin could jump off the stage into Maks arms. The jump position was a little weird looking but she nailed it I guess. Their dance overall seemed pretty short.

The Judges: Carrie Ann thought it was so hot that she had to kiss Len on the check. Len called her a "dirty dirty girl" and said he loved it as well. Bruno was surprised at how Bendy Erin could be. Scores: CA - 9, L - 10, B - 9, Total: 28/30.

Evan Lysacek with Anna Trebunskaya started out with the Waltz which had Anna trying to get Evan to show his romantic side. Evan seemed to move smooth like his skating abilities have taught him but I really didn't see the warm personality Anna tried to get out of him.

The Judges: Len wasn't sure whether or not he liked it because of some of the things they did, however he did notice the good footwork and technique. Bruno thought Evan has great Lines and Carrie Ann agreed, however Carrie Ann said Evan needs to lose himself more in the moment. Scores: CA - 9, L - 9, B - 9, Total: 27/30.

Nicole Scherzinger with Derek Hough wanted to make their Fox Trot cutsey with Nicole getting in on the choreography. Nicole may be good at the cutesy stuff but the technique stresses her out. Nicole expressed her frustration about how people always say it's so easy for her because she doesn't find it that easy. However, people may not believe her because once she starts dancing, it does look like she's a pro.

The Judges:
Bruno called it "one and a half minutes of pure dancing joy!" Carrie Ann loved it. Len thought it was "an enchanting love story" but had a few technical comments.. Scores: CA - 10, L - 9, B - 10, Total: 29/30.

The Second Hour:
Two dances each in a two hour show is just a little two much for me tonight! Therefore the Latin dances will have short and quick updates! You're probably tired of reading by this point anyway :)

Chad Ochocino with Cheryl Burke had to do a 1960s Jive which I didn't know was a Latin dance. Len thought it was "high energy, fun and entertaining". Bruno liked the Jive and thought Chad showed he was having a good time. Carrie Ann thought it was one of their better dances. Scores: CA - 8, L - 8, B - 8, Total: 24/30, Overall: 45/60.

Niecy Nash with Louis Van Amstel were set up to do a 1990s Paso Doble. Rhythm is a Dancer was a horrible choice for a dance that is meant to be strong! I didn't like the song but Niecy was trying hard for sure. There were a few noticeable missteps or stumbles but overall it was decent. Bruno said there was not enough control or steadiness. Carrie Ann gave Niecy credit for pushing herself but said the power wasn't there. Len didn't think the dance suited Niecy's personality. Scores: CA - 7, L - 6, B - 7, Total: 20/30, Overall: 43/60.

Erin Andrews with Maksim Chmerkovskiy got a 1980s Rumba which Maks said wouldn't be much different than a regular Rumba except the clothes. Carrie Ann said Erin doubts herself and that's the only reason she's not up their with Evan and Nicole. Len thought the whole thing was jerky and got boos even though he was right. Bruno said "you too make great music together" and said Erin should be in the final. Scores: CA - 8, L - 8, B - 9, Total: 25/30, Overall: 53/60.

Evan Lysacek with Anna Trebunskaya pulled a futuristic Cha Cha that they wanted to make it cool and modern. Anna had a Fifth Element outfit on and Evan didn't have to worry about showing emotion for this robot like dance. Len thought Evan got lucky by not having to do emotion and rhythm. He thought the futuristic part was great but as a cha cha it was confusing. Bruno thought it was inventive and he enjoyed it. Carrie Ann liked that Evan was committed and agreed thought the stiff movement worked well with the theme. Scores: CA - 9, L - 8, B - 9, Total: 26/30, Overall: 53/60.

Nicole Scherzinger with Derek Hough had a 1950s Paso Doble which Derek thought was confusing since the Paso is meant to be strong but the 50s attitude was more carefree. Bruno called them "the beauty and the rebel". Carrie Ann was amazed that they were able to put 50s together with the Paso. Len said he was disappointed because "there was nothing I could see to criticize". Scores: CA - 10, L - 10, B - 10, Total: 30/30, Overall: 59/60. Nicole and Derek were only 1 point shy of a perfect score!

I'm getting alerts while you are still here typing :-D I find Chad to be a bit dull when he dances although more entertaining when he is just being himself. Nicole is actually not impressing me. I expect her to WOW me but she isn't always all that entertaining. I know Niecy wasn't top 2 material but I would have liked to see her in the final 4 b/c at least she provides laughs :) I liked Erin better in the start than I do now. She's lost some appeal with me. I'm all for Evan but wish he could show more emotion!!

  • Becca Greiner5/12/2010

Oh, I left out Chad. Well, I guess it's cause I really don't like him as much as the others. :)

  • Becca Greiner5/12/2010

I have to say I like the rest of them alot. I kind of like the chemistry between Erin and Maks. Niecy's funny, but I just don't think she's top 2 material. Evan and Anna do really well together. And Nicole... well, I just kinda feel like it's cheating since she's already been a singer/dancer (wasn't a big stretch). I'm excited for the last couple episodes!

  • Shannon Stefanick5/11/2010

I'm really pulling for Niecy Nash, but I'm sure that Nicole will win this one.

    Great recap :)
