Kurt Warner on Dancing with the Stars

Looking ruggedly handsome in a sparkly military olive green shirt, Kurt Warner danced the jive with partner Anna Trebunskaya to "Danger Zone" from the movie "Top Gun." He made a comment in rehearsal about "one old goat," meaning Len, who had nothing but criticism for Warner's performance last week.

Dancing with the Stars Judges on Kurt Warner

After his fun romp through the jive, Carrie Ann Inaba told Warner he reminded her of everyone's favorite uncle at a wedding, complimenting Warner on his natural musicality and saying "I just loved it" of his performance.

Len Goodman told Warner, "Last week it was the outhouse and this week it is the penthouse."

Bruno Tonioli said of Warner, "This is one cool guy who does one cool jive."

Each judge gave Warner a 7 for a score of 21.

Bristol Palin - Dancing with the Stars

Before they took the dance floor this week, Bristol Palin took partner Mark Ballas home to Alaska to meet her mother Sarah Palin saying Palin is a big fan of the show. Sarah Palin thanked Ballas for taking care of her girl and asked how she did the shimmy.

Bristol commented that she was very relieved to have her first performance out of the way. Ballas pointed out that after the Alaska trip, Bristol needed to "buckle down and learn the quick step.

Wearing a sweet lilac gown and purple gown, layered and a bit frothy in the skirt, Bristol Palin danced the quick step to "You Can't Hurry Love" with Mark Ballas.

Dancing with the Stars Judges on Bristol Palin

The judges were impressed with Palin's performance. Bruno Tonioli commented on Palin's fresh, unaffected quality.

Carrie Ann Inaba told Palin that Palin reminded her of Kelly Osbourne, and said she was a delight to watch.

Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba gave Palin 7s and Len Goodman gave her an 8 for a total score of of 22.

The results show for Week 2 is September 28. Previous: Dancing with the Stars Season 11 - Week 1 Recap; Next: 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 11 - Week 3 Recap.

I can see Warner is not the best dancer. But the show needs to revisit the qualifiers for the show. Star-Palin? Since when? Grey- Experienced? Yes! Cha-cha Brandy? I'm not a dancer but this was no cha-cha I'd ever seen! And when a star is raved upon and gets 8s and a star is raked over the coals and gets 9s and 10s I say judges go home, retire and leave judging to those who can at least remember what they said 2 minutes ago!!!!!!!

I haven't been watching, but surprised that Bristol's still there. May tune in to see what she's got! And I've been wanting to see Jennifer Grey anyway.
