'Dancing with the Stars' Season 12: Chris Jericho, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Hines Ward Are Tough Contenders

We've gotten used to "DWTS" dominating the air waves with amazing dances, beautiful performances, and famous celebrities. When the professionals step out on the dance floor, there is an electrical current that shoots from the TV to each viewer watching. We feel the tingles down our spine as they dance flawlessly. Sometime, we cringe as dances aren't quite dances.

When our favorite celebrity begins their first dance, we have a since of nervousness for him/her, only to push our shoulders back in approval as they dance for their lives. Many times, we are as surprised as the judges with the professionalism of the celebrities to dance impeccably.

Because we love "DWTS," we feel a sense of ownership to the show. Don't be bashful. You can admit that you feel it too. That's why we are called fans. How often do we celebrity favorites before the season premiere even premieres? It's what we do as fans. We voice our opinions about what and who we like and dislike. So when this fan heard the Season 12 cast of "Dancing with the Stars," I could not help but shake my head in wonder.

Maybe we are so used to celebrities in the star light that when we get an older version of the show, either way, we are left disappointed. Maybe, this is a season we can use our DVR to tape the show and save for weekend. Maybe, this is going to be the biggest surprise season yet. Aren't you tired of the maybes?

The truth is that this should be the biggest season for "Dancing with the Stars." Why, you ask? It is no secret that "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars" have been long time competitors. So when "Idol" did a complete make over, it stood to wonder that "DWTS" would have upped the anty and really pulled out the bells and whistles this season. Not. Somehow, the higher powers must not have thought of this. The Season 12 cast is less than we've come to expect from this reality TV show.
