DWTS Season 12 Winner Revealed On May 24 Finale!(ABC)

Tonight's Dancing With The Stars Season 12 finale (ABC - May 24) named Hines Ward as the brand new champion of DWTS! Kym Johnson, Ward's pro partner, is recovering from a recent neck injury at dance practice, though she definitely didn't let that hold her back during finale week.

Though we were rooting for Kirstie Alley, we liked Hines Ward almost equally. For Kirstie, we imagine the real 'big win' is her dramatic weight loss and the amazing energy boost training for Dancing With The Stars Season 12 has given her. Still, we also imagine a mirror ball trophy might have been a nice, if secondary token of all that hard work.

Now, we know the DWTS Season 12 2011 winner was Hines Ward; just how did fellow Top 3 finalists Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane stack up in terms of simple numbers? In this case, we rather agree. Kirstie and Maks earned second place, while Chelsea and Mark came in third. We think this is more than fair considering how hard Kirstie had to work to get as good as she is, and to look as good as she does currently as compared to DWTS Season 12 Week One.

Chelsea Kane no doubt worked hard, but she did start off with about 57 advantages Kirstie Alley didn't necessarily have. Even compared to Hines Ward, we think Kirstie did an amazing job, and easily could have won.
