'Dancing With the Stars' Semi-finals Update

One of the Best is Gone..

Abby Greenhill
I've been a 'Dancing with the Stars' viewer since season 1. I admit I don't watch every single dance; some aren't worth watching, especially the first few weeks of each season. I wasn't happy when they seemed to be desperate for 'stars' and decided the old folks would make good dancers. Looking back now, at least those old timers provided some comic relief for the show.

Let's dissect the two main words in the title of the show, 'Dancing with the Stars':

Dancing - You need to be able to dance, or at least have a right and a left foot that work well together. 'Dancing with the Stars' shouldn't be a dance school for the dancing impaired. A participant should already know how to dance and then use the show to improve upon their techniques with the help and guidance of the pros.

Stars - A star is a TV star, Movie Star, Olympic Star and so on. I have never considered Sarah Palin to be a star. Therefore, I don't consider her daughter, Bristol Palin, to be a star either.

Last night, Tuesday, November 16, 2010 was the final straw. Yes, I know - the voters made the decision to keep Bristol - but whose voters did the voting? The powers that be can say all they want to say about how fair the voting is, was. No way. You guys that voted to keep Bristol Palin have done a disservice to all the viewers.

Did you see mouths drop open when the announcement was made? Did you see the look on the faces of the other dancers? Needless to say, the dancers were in total shock. Did you hear the moans and groans from the viewers at home? Did you hear people say, "What the ....?" 'Dancing with the Stars' took a big nose dive with the vote heard round the dancing world.

This is unbelievable. I don't normally feel bad when dancers are voted off, because they usually deserve it. Brandy did not deserve to get the boot, she should be in the finals next week. The finals should come down to the two best dancers - Brandy and Jennifer - what a final that would have been. Oh, if only it were to be.

'Dancing with the Stars' just lost its glamor and charm, because one of the two best dancers won't be performing.

You're right about your main point. I hope most Americans saw this farce as a microcosm of what could happen in 2012 with Bristol's mom.

    Amen.

Bristol needs to go real soon, still can't believe she lasted this long. Bristol is not a star or has talent.....

I cannot believe Bristol was chosen to be on the show in the first place. She is not a star!

What a truly disgusting outcome- with what could be a great show. I am so sick of looking at the airhead former governor and now her no-star, cannot dance daughter. Who by the way is getting fatter as the weeks go by.-
She is about as a sexy as a 2x4 and her movements resemble the same 2x4.

Abby it is crazy and not fair to brandy that bristol should still be there, her mother's tea party friends have been voting maybe they would rig a federal election too to win

I can't believe what happen again, bristol should be out long time ago, yes she improved a little bit but she is not a dancer, she is to stiff, i am spanish and that was not a tango, the best tango was from Jennifer & Brandy if was bristol i have quited last night and left brandy be in the finals next week because bristol knows that she is not a dancer and that she does not deserve to be in the finals. Sorry bristol i think you are a nice girl but not a dancer.

I do not dislike Bristol and she really has come a long way since starting out. But there is no way she should have won over Brandy. I don't know if it would ever be possible, but there needs to be some king of safety feature that stops this kind of error from occuring. Bristol is a cute girl, but her run should have been over.
