Dancing with the Stars Sends Pamela Packing

Kathrine Lloyd
The tribe has spoken. The Dancing with the Stars audience has sent Pamela Anderson packing. This can't come as a surprise to many since Anderson has been beneath the glare of the red light in the bottom two on multiple occasions this season. This leaves five contenders heading into next week and it looks like it's really going to start hitting the fan now. The competition is ramping up with couples having to learn twice as many dances in the same amount of time. The strong contenders at this point are going to have to have a mental edge over their competitors, so we'll see how it all unfolds.

As is customary on the Dancing with the Stars results show, there was plenty of time to kill and endless ways to burn the minutes. Len Goodman gave a recap and critique of last night's show as usual. Since most of the people watching had seen it, this is nothing but a time burner. The encore performance chosen was unsurprisingly team GaGa's Cha Cha. It was just as hot the second time around. Pamela had to be replaced by Chelsie Hightower because of a leg injury, but other than that, it was nearly identical. The opening of the show revealed Derek and Nicole were safe to dance again while Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy found themselves in the bottom two. Train performed "Hey Soul Sister" while the Dancing with the Stars pros shimmied across the stage in their usual high-energy fashion. Viewers were also treated to a corny segment where all of the positions supporting a live television show were discussed as well as the number of cameras and monitors.

Next on DWTS, Cirque du Soleil Viva Elvis performers did a routine to "Blue Suede Shoes". Of course they were actually dancing in blue suede shoes. They were actually pretty amazing and did some things you won't see the Dancing with the Stars pros attempting. Train came back to perform "Drops of Jupiter" and we found out that Louis Van Amstel can do a split. After Train's performance, Tom did that super annoying thing where he talks and talks about three couples and prepares to give a result and then goes to commercials. I thought Chad Ochocinco might actually come down off of the stage and break him like a pretzel. Coincidentally, when they came back from commercials, Tom announced that Chad and Cheryl were safe. We then found out that Erin Andrews was sitting in the bottom two on her birthday. Ouch! It was finally announced that Pamela Anderson was the one going home and she took it in stride saying it was one of the best experiences she's had. It's doubtful anyone will be able to drop into character the way Anderson did and she'll likely be missed for that. We'll see what transpires next week on Dancing with the Stars-are Niecy's days numbered now?

Thanks. Now I wonder if Erin is going to go, she obviously doesn't have as much audience support as Niecy.

Niecy seems like the logical one to go next...altho her humor adds a nice touch.
