The show began with the routine from last night that the judges thought was the best. That routine was the Argentine Tango performed by 50-year-old Jennifer Grey and 25-year-old Derek Hough. Their tango brought them back to the top of the leader board with a performance total of 29. The Cougar couple has got it going on!
Also on the Dancing with the Stars week 4 results show were musical performances. Lots of professional dancing, as always, but this week we got to watch the rock band The Goo Goo Dolls and one of the most talented singers new on the scene Florence Welch, also known as Florence and the Machine.
We learned what the celebrity dancers must do to earn a score of 10 from Len Goodman, who has not given a 10 this season. "A 9 from me is a 10 from Bruno and Carrie," says Len. Len also appeared with his shirt off in a quick funny clip where he is shown as a topless judge. The clip was in response to Mark Ballas who ripped his shirt off in his dance with Bristol Palin.
So who was voted off of Dancing with the Stars week 4? This week it was Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. The Situation showed major frustration and the smile was gone on the results show. However, we still got plenty of abs. He even flexed his pecs at one point.
Karina Smirnoff acknowledged that as a dancing couple they are weak technically and they need to do well with performance. But in the end, their scores from the judges totaled only a 28. "I put it all on the floor last night," said Mike. "It is what it is; at the end of the day, somebody has to go home."
Host Tom Bergeron noted that The Situation seemed different on Dancing with the Stars than Jersey Shore. Mike agreed, "With Dancing with the Stars, you got to see the whole situation."
Episode 9 of Dancing with the Stars will air on Monday, October 18 on ABC

Excellent review!
Great article =0)
The Situation will find another situation soon enough.....lol.....his future should be interesting
I hated to see Mike go. He's funny and he has an excellent personality. He tried really hard. Those lifts had to be difficult. But in the end, he's just not that great of a DWTS dancer. He is also pigeon-toed, which doesn't help him.
This show is rigged for ratings! I'm actually really sorry to see mike 'the situation' go. I thought he was a 1st class jerk/idiot when I've seen him on talk shows but watching his vulnerability & determination on dwts changed my opinion of him.
he got pretty far for having no dance experience but the fist pump. he tried his best and he went out fighting. good for him
I agree Nana, The Situation was cool.
