'Dancing with the Stars' Week 5: Kurt Warner Dances like Gene Kelly

TV Tunes Week

Jacqueline Winslow
There is nothing more fun than "TV Tunes" on DWTS. That's right everyone, last night on Dancing with the Stars, the celebrities got to dance to songs from TV shows. It was as entertaining as it was exciting to see true dancers emerge.

Ok, I loved Kurt Warner, as I have the entire season. Another favorite is Rick Fox, who is another athlete who seems to be showing America that athletes can, in fact, dance. Way to go, guys. You are clearly favorites in the DWTS competition.

It's time for the judges to reveal their scores from DWTS "TV Tunes Week."

Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 27 out of possible 30

"Are you there for me?" There is nothing more beautiful than a dancer who improves weekly; that's exactly what we've seen from Brandy. I can admit I wasn't a fan of hers in the beginning. Truthfully, who wants a diva to when DWTS? I didn't, but found myself drawn to her week after week as she continued to improve and really take DWTS seriously. Now I am a full-fledged Brandy fan! Way to go! She was beautiful on the dance floor and impressed the judges and America, if I'm correct.

Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas: 21/30

Florence Henderson danced to the tune of The Brady Bunch. To be honest, I thought it was terrible. She didn't seem to be able to do anything right. Not sure if America was with me on this one, but Carol Brady needs to go. Parts of the dance just looked wrong, like she was missing something or the choreography was badly done. Either way, she's danced her way right into the bottom dancers this week, I think!

Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya: 24/30

They got a lucky song choice with Bewitched. Judge Carrie Ann didn't miss the mark when she told Kurt that Gene Kelly's spirit had entered Kurt Warner. I couldn't agree more. I mean, if you've watched Anchors Away or Summer Stock, you know Gene Kelly is the best of the best, but out on that floor, Kurt proved he is the best of the best. Way to go Kurt!

Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani: 23/30

The rumba looked beautiful as Audrina sat in a lawn chair, sparkling up at Tony. Dancing to the theme from The Hills, they danced the dance perfectly ... what was off? Something, and the judges were missing what ever that something was. Me? I think Audrina Patridge will be back!

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer: 20/30

Who doesn't love Charlie's Angels? Personally, I loved Kyle and Lacey's dance, even though I always think Lacey dances just a notch better than her celebrity; in this case, Kyle Massey. I can't take away from Kyle just because I'm not a Lacey Schwimmer fan, so I have to give Kyle props. He entertained America while he danced a dance that was certainly top notch. I can't help but feel the judges gave him less than a score he deserved. When someone comes week after week, listens to the judges, and really improves, we need to give him props! Way to go Kyle!

Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke: 24/30

What could be better than Rick Fox in a police uniform? Last night, he danced to the Hill Street Blues theme song. The rest is history.... Ok, not really, but I was sold the second I saw the uniform. When he began dancing, I thought he did an amazing job. There were a few moments when I wasn't so sure, but Rick pulled it out and danced the foxtrot that Americans will remember.

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas: 18/30

Bristol and Mark came out in monkey suits and I was laughing from the beginning. There were a few moments when she took the monkey suit off where I wondered if she would be able to keep up with the dance, but she did ok. There were missteps and forgotten steps, but she truly has listened to the judges and brought out the entertainer in her -- she is improving week by week

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough: 25/30

One thing that was certain about DWTS week 5, there was friction in the air between Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough that spilled to the dance floor. They danced to the foxtrot, but it was really a boring performance, if you ask me. They danced and that was about it. Was it a great performance? No, not sure it will land them in the bottom, but they will definitely have to figure out their relationship if they want votes from DWTS voters.
