Bristol Palin and Kyle Massey: The Comeback Kids?

Brandy and Maks received the highest score on 'Dancing With the Stars' Monday night, while Kurt Warner and Anna brought up the rear with the lowest. A dance marathon at the end of the show gave the couples extra points, with Brandy and Maks adding 10 points to their score of 27 for a total of 37. Kurt and Anna gave a modest boost to their score of 18 for a total of 22.

"That tango really rocked!" said Judge Bruno Tonioli of Brandy's dance "Is it Brandy or Tina Turner?" Len Goodman told Maks he was his hero and Carrie Ann Inaba got "goosebumps" from watching the performance, although she did detect a few missteps on Brandy's part.

Season 11 of DWTS seems to be filled with inconsistent performances. I thought Bristol Palin would be voted off DWTS last week, but she hung in there, and this week she and Mark Ballas impressed the judges with their tango.

Len quipped that Bristol was a chimp last week, but almost a champ this week, referring to the monkey suit she'd donned wihile dancing to the theme song for The Monkees the week before. Bruno said "You're all woman tonight" and Carrie Ann pronounced the performance "ridiculously amazing." Bristol danced away with a total of 27 points.

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, who have hovered at the top most weeks, received a total of 29 points, 20 for their performance and an additional 9 for the marathon. "Something went terribly wrong," Carrie Ann told Jennifer. "You're the chosen one." No pressure there.

Audrina Patridge and partner Tony danced to "Another One Bites the Dust," but will they? They earned a decent score of 32, although the judges' words must have stung.

"You're getting on my nerves," Len said, because you're able to "blow us away," but are not doing it. Bruno agreed, saying Audrina needed to move on to the next stage. Carrie Ann, though, noted that Audrina had improved since the beginning of the season.

Kyle Massey made a bit of a comeback with dance partner Lacey and the tango. Carrie Ann called his carriage amazing and Bruno said his footwork had gotten better. Len acknowledged that Kyle had improved since the week before and said his performance-driven routine could use a little technique to balance it out. Total score was 30.

Len thought Rick Fox and partner Cheryl did an excellent job with their tango, although Bruno compared Rick to a Mohican on the warpath, and said he thought Rick was going to scalp Cheryl. Carrie Ann called the performance amazing, but said he looked too stern while dancing. Total score 30.

Kurt just couldn't please the judges. Carrie Ann called his dance routine "scruffy" and unpolished, and Bruno said he looked as though he were doing karate. Len said the performance "didn't come off." Total score was 22.

Until tonight, I thought Bristol and Kyle were in the most danger, but now it's probably Kurt. Unless he has a lot of fans out there who vote for him, he might be saying so long.So tune in Tuesday, October 26th for what will be the 200th episode of 'Dancing With the Stars.'
