Danger -- Sarah Palin at Work Again

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!

COMMENTARY | Let's start this discussion with me asserting I am a conservative, not a ranting liberal. Yet you might be surprised about what I have to say about Sarah Palin. That is because I am a lot of other things, including a soon-to-be senior and concerned husband.

There is an article by Hiram Reisner at the Newsmax website titled "Palin: Media Treats Trump Unfairly."

There are certain people in the news all the time. One recent personality has been Donald Trump, who at first came on the scene questioning (again) President Obama's lack of a prominent birth certificate. Trump has come under attack, and now who should come to defend him? Of course, it is Sarah Palin. Palin's latest complaint is that Trump is being treated unfairly. The fact I'm being exposed to so much Palin means I'm being treated unfairly.

Do you remember the three sisters in "The Brady Bunch Movie?" They were the same as in the television show, and from oldest to youngest were named Marsha, Jan and Cindy. Marsha, being the most adored, would get Jan angry. She would then walk around angrily muttering to herself, "Marsha,Marsha, Marsha!" Well I'm beginning to want to mutter "Palin, Palin, Palin!"

Donald Trump is a big boy. He has been tough enough to make real estate deal after real estate deal to become filthy rich. Real estate is an area where most of us feel lost just buying our residence, let alone making money, yet Palin has to come to Trump's defense.

What I think we can safely assume is that it is just another way for Palin to get into the news to spout her philosophies and, technically, they should be in line with mine. Remember, I'm a conservative.

Unfortunately, Palin is taking her Tea Party leadership role and simply saying whatever she wants, and it's not realistic.

She has used the Trump situation to weigh in on her disappointment with Republicans in Congress-they have not been tough enough in the budget cutting.

At my near-62 age, I am constantly worried about the government and its inconsistencies. Palin and her ilk think that bringing the budget into line is simply making whoever must pay pay. They have no idea of the problems that would cause, and frankly if she were in office in Washington, she would probably be more careful than her current words.

Palin was the governor of Alaska when tabbed to run for vice president. She soon showed a lack of political savvy due to a woeful lack of knowledge of national government.

After losing the election, she resigned from being governor and immediately became a self-proclaimed authority on national policy.

I have to ask at what point did Sarah Palin become educated? Do you learn from hearing yourself talk?

I have another question for you: How can we ever make intelligent changes in U.S. policy with respect to finance when all we pay attention to is people like Palin?
