Here's the thing, many companies today are secretly adding artificial sweeteners, typically Splenda, to foods, beverages and even medicine with out any implication of the packaging - what so ever. You won't even see the name "Splenda" "Nutra Sweet" or "Equal"in the ingredient list on the back! Companies are actually using their scientific names, sucralose (not to be confused with sucrose - which is sugar) and Aspartame.
Now this could mean many of the unsuspecting foods you buy for yourself and you family - including the kids - may be tainted with an ingredient that if know, you would never have bought at the store to begin with. Dangerous artificial sweeteners are be lurking in your "healthy" Fuze juice beverages, they are disguised virtually all chewing gum sold in a typical grocery store, artificial sweeteners are mixed in with you Monster Energy drink, hidden in your Lite Boston Cream Yogurt, and even in your unsuspecting immune boosting Airborne that you insist your whole family take after hearing the flu is going around. Oh and if you remember that water pitcher that came on the market about two years ago from PuR, where you can choose to flavor your water from the spicket - I contains artificial sweetener too! Yah, that's really purifying and filtering your water!
And yet, not one of these listed items says any words that would lead a typical shopper to believe they are in fact infested with a dangerous artificial sweetener! And just in case you are on the fence with dangerous artificial sweetens can be, here is a fact that scares me straight away from, at least aspartame. According to Wikipedia, in certain markets aspartame is manufactured using a genetically modified variation of E Coli!
That of course isn't the only reason to star clear of artificial sweeteners, there are dozens and dozens of practical, yet scientific reasons to stay away from it. And even if you, an adult, does wish to use a product which does in fact contain an artificial sweetener, wouldn't you like to know what you are consuming? Especially if you are considering giving it to your child! There are no studies in which using artificial sweetener has been proven safe on pregnant woman, nursing mothers or babies, toddlers and growing teenagers. And if one study were to come out, you know it would be funded by a maker of Artificial Sweetener, which is more of a sales tactic than study!
