The first thing I noticed when I put the Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Pin Straight Conditioner in my hair is that my hair became instantly silky and smooth. My long hair is not pin-straight naturally, it's what I like to call "puffy" when left to its own devices. My favorite hairdresser referred to my hair as coarse (vs. fine). I usually have to buy more expensive conditioners, like Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Treatment to make my hair more manageable and less bulky.

My favorite thing about the Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Pin Straight conditioner is that I did not have to add anything else to my hair before brushing it to get rid of the tangles. Because my hair is long and thick it tangles easily, especially underneath and the back. I usually put some leave-in hair smoother, either Herbal Essences None of Your Frizziness Smoothing Leave-in Conditioner or Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum to smooth my hair and make the tangles easier to manage.

I wanted to see how my hair reacted without adding anything else. When I only used the Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Pin Straight Shampoo and Conditioner, my hair was easy to brush and had only one or two small snarls, not the tangled mess I usually have after putting my hair up in a towel to dry.

The reformulated Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Pin Straight conditioner is more effective on my hair type than the original formula was.

What I Will Be Using

I may have found a replacement for my Herbal Essences None of Your Frizziness conditioner, because the Dangerously Straight seems to get rid of frizziness and make my hair soft while untangling it. Although I still love the Paul Mitchell products, the Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Pin Straight Shampoo and Conditioner fit my budget better.
