Daniel Bryan Successfully Cashes in the Money in the Bank Briefcase

The November 26th episode of SmackDown kicked off with Mark Henry addressing the WWE Universe. While Henry was addressing the WWE Universe he was interrupted by Big Show. Big Show made his way to the ring to have words with Henry. Before leaving the ring Big Show laid Henry with the 'Weapon Of Mass Destruction'. As Henry lay unconscious in the ring, Daniel Bryan made his way to the ring with his Money In The Bank Briefcase and a referee. When they reached the ring Bryan cashed in his Briefcase by handing it to the referee who immediately called for the bell. The Match began as Bryan went for the cover on Henry. Bryan got the three count, allowing him to pick up the victory and become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Bryan began to celebrate his Championship win when SmackDown's General Manager Theodore Long made his way to the ring.

Long informed Bryan and the WWE Universe that the Match was void. The Match was void as a result of Henry's injury. Henry was not cleared to compete by WWEs doctors; Therefore, Henry was not allowed to defend his World Heavyweight Championship. As a result Long took the Championship from Bryan and returned it to Henry. Long also returned the Money In The Bank Briefcase to Bryan.

Bryan lied to the entire WWE Universe. On the July 22nd episode of SmackDown Bryan announced he will cash in his Money In The Bank Briefcase on April 1, 2012 at WrestleMania XXVIII. Unless my calender is off by a few months last night was not April 1, 2012. So why did Bryan cash in his Briefcase early? In an exclusive interview with WWE.com Bryan talked about his moral code. Sometimes when people disagree with something so strongly they need to go against their moral code. After being attacked by Henry in the previous weeks Bryan no longer wanted to see Henry as Champion. For that reason he decided to go against his moral code by giving up his dream of Main Eventing WrestleMania and cashing in his Briefcase against Henry.

Even though Bryan lied to the WWE Universe. The WWE made a smart move by allowing Bryan to cash in his Money In The Bank Briefcase early. When Bryan pinned Henry he got a good reaction from the crowd. That lets the WWE know that if they allow Bryan to successfully cash in his Briefcase for a second time the fans will be able to get behind him. In my previous article "Will Daniel Bryan Cash In His Money In The Bank Briefcase at Wrestle Mania XXVIII?" I pointed out that the WWE made a good move by allowing Bryan to wait until WrestleMania. By waiting it gives the WWE a chance to see how the crowd truly feels about Bryan. Last night the audience in attendance proved they were in favor of Bryan. If the crowd can stay behind Bryan until WrestleMania the WWE Universe may see him become World Heavyweight Champion. To do that Bryan will need to make it to WrestleMania without getting injured. It could be a daunting task as Bryan will face Henry for the World Heavyweight Championship inside a Steel Cage, live on SmackDown. With no where to run Bryan could be the next Superstar to end up in the 'Hall of Pain'.
