Daniel Craig Ready and Fully Loaded for Bond 23

The 23'rd James Bond film will start production in late 2010 according to current actor Daniel Craig. "We start end of next year," he said in a video interview on YouTube. 'Bond 23' is expected to be released in late 2011 meaning a three-year gap since the last film, 'Quantum of Solace,' was released.

Many Bond fans are used to this sort of gap though, with a six year gap between 'Licence to Kill' and 'Golden Eye' between 1989 and 1995 and a three year gap between 'The World Is Not Enough' and 'Die Another Day' between 1999 and 2002. The additional year before start of production may give MGM time to figure out a solution to their financial situation, with potential buyers being Fox and Sony.

'Bond 23' is being written by duo Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have been scripting for the James Bond franchise since 'The World Is Not Enough' in 1999. Also writing the script is Peter Morgan, behind 'The Queen' and 'Frost/Nixon.' David Arnold will compose the score for the sixth time since starting on 'Tomorrow Never Dies' in 1997.

Daniel Craig will once again grace the silver screen as James Bond for his third outing, after his first two, 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum of Solace' were big box office successes. Currently, Daniel Craig can be seen alongside Hugh Jackson of X-Men fame in 'A Steady Rain' and will next be seen in theaters in 'The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn' by Steven Spielberg.

So far, several musical artists have tried to gain themselves attention so that they may write and record the next Bond theme. Those of which include Muse and Mark Ronson. Meanwhile, Megan Fox (Transformers) and Polish actress Joanna Ignaczewska have all been linked to the Bond girl role by the tabloids but have since been squashed by agents and studios alike.

As far as storyline goes, Daniel Craig has been quite vocal about not bringing back the Quantum organization just yet that was featured in both of his previous 007 films. Instead, he'd want to do something fresh. During an interview with Collider last year, Craig was quoted as saying; "We've finished this story as far as I'm concerned. We've got a great set of bad guys. There is an organization that we can use whenever we want to. The relationship between Bond and M is secure and Felix [Leiter] is secure. Let's try and find where Moneypenny came from and where Q comes from. Let's do all that and have some fun with it."

The sky for the Bond franchise, it seems, is the limit and it's pretty set in stone that the Bond series will continue with or without MGM and Daniel Craig has finally risen out of the chaos that consumed him after being cast in the part. The future looks bright for James Bond and hopefully the next film will deliver in November 2011.
