Danny Gokey Goes Home in a Surprising May 13 American Idol Elimination Show
Only One Week Left Until We Know Who This Season's American Idol Will Be!
For the next hour, we had the honor of sitting through a reduced version of three home town parades. It was actually amazing to see how each of these towns opened their arms to these three singers. The turnout and support that was shown to these guys was worthy of soldiers returning from war. It was kind of surreal in that they are only contestants on a modern day variety show.
Seacrest kept the drama going right up until the final seconds. He of course revealed that Kris was the first contestant to be in the finale. That had been all but revealed in the first few seconds and now it was confirmed, either Adam or Danny was going home. The only reason this was in any doubt was because of the fact that Adam had already landed in the bottom three once and you had to wonder if Lambert Nation had rested on their laurels and jeopardized their idol once again.
With Danny and Adam both waiting in anticipation, it was finally revealed that it was in fact Danny that had fell short on the votes and he would be going home. The judges actually looked as though they could be knocked over with a feather. The looks were easy to understand as you had to wonder how the following that had carried him through some very questionable performances had missed the mark on getting him into the finale of the American Idol show.
So we are finally down to two in what has easily been the most talented cast in the history of the show. Once again though, there are going to be a lot of assumptions that Adam is going to walk with this competition, but Kris' fans came through huge in the semi's and the real winner will be the person that manages to get all those votes that used to belong to Danny Gokey.
With less than a million votes separating the final three, you can only imagine how close next week's voting is going to be. Kris is going to have to have the best performances of his life to get past Adam, but don't be surprised if he somehow manages to sneak away with this title. One more week and we will finally know who the real American Idol is!
