Daring to Hope

Aleeta
When you think of me and what we could be,

Is it hotels, wine & roses?

Or is there a chance it might become love

A melodic harmony romance composes?

Do I dare hope to dream that you might be around?

For longer than the night is short?

Or has weakness fancied me prey to expectations

Filled with unfounded lasts resort?

I can only ask what I don't know,

And pray that you answer precise.

I fear for my heart's desolation

Should your kiss further entice.

Too many before have left me broken

Like fragile China's plate

To say I'm cautious to get involved,

Well, I fear it's much too late.

If anything I don't know already,

Will cause my world to crumble,

Please do me the honor of exposing the truth

Cause not my soul to stumble.

Telling you now all that's in my heart

May totally freak you out

So I'll hold it all in until the moment is right

Know this: You'll never have to doubt.
