Darrell Fryer of Robertsville, MO Dies in Fatal Car Crash

March 23, 2010 - At 10:30 a.m. in St. Louis County, Missouri, Darrell W. Fryer (Male, 61, of Robertsville, MO) was involved in a fatal car accident on I-44 with two tractor trailers, that cost him his life and seriously injured another passanger.

As he was driving westbound in the far left lane on Highway 44 near Antire Road Fryer came upon a semi that was stopped in the far left lane. The semi was driven by Gerald C. Lyston, male, 25, from Desoto, MO. Fryer, who was driving a 1992 Olds Cutlass tried to stop but his car began to skid. In an attempt to avoid the semi that was stationary, he turned into the center lane striking another tractor trailer driven by Mardoqueo Aguilar, Male, 57, of Converse, Texas. The front of the truck struck the left side of the Fryer's vehicle.

Troop C of the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to the accident. At 10:45, Fryer was pronounced dead by Eureka Ambulance Personnel. Robert E. Collins, male, 46, of St. Clair MO was an occupant riding with Fryer. Collins sustained serious injury and was transported by ambulance to St. Johns Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, MO. Both semi drivers were free from injuries.
