Dating the Average Guy is Ok

Faith Dosier
Hi Everyone I'm back with by .02 cents again about dating. Today's topic is why am I single? After hanging out with five of my lovely hardworking girlfriends for an afternoon lunch I decided to talk to you all about what is it we're doing that keeps up single. Most of us have asked this question at least once a month at our bi-monthly lunches. There is Ms. Bitter, Ms. Rational, Ms. I'm cool 'til it happens, Ms. Serial boyfriend, and me Ms. Okay now what. Well after hearing about our beloved Ms. Serial Boyfriends latest we all chimed in with our opinions. Ms. Bitter of course let us know that all men are dogs and Ms. Optimistic jumped to mankind's defense. No matter what we all love each other's but still have no answers to the big question as to why are we single. Can you believe that, after an hour of consuming several drinks, pounds of pasta and two bottles of wine, we still haven't solved the age old question?

But that's okay as the age old adage says; Rome was not built in a day so we certainly shouldn't expect to fix the singlehood issue so quickly. However I've learned some things from our lunches. First is that we're only single because we want to be. Yep that's right because we want to be. I've thought long and hard and we've been getting together for over a year now and we've seen all of us over this time get hit on but usually we turn the guy down. Can you believe that? I mean this is what we've been debating like ancient Roman scholars endlessly and yet to see that we've been much too picky for our own good. There have been some good looking polite guys but the thing is that they haven't been professional men. It's been the overly handsome security guard from parking facility, or the super cute personal trainer from the gym who reduces us to giggles and coy girl behavior so we don't take it seriously. So Dating task number #2 if you failed or chickened out on the how to get a weekend date task is to take that nice "regular" guy seriously next time he compliments you and go out I know I am. In fact I'm having lunch with a very non-professional charming guy next week so stay tuned for the update and I'll be looking forward to hearing yours. Stay tuned for next week's dating memo. If you love dating like I do or miss it you'll want to come back for my tips to keep you dating until you land your mate. Until next time(((((hugz)))).
