Dating a man who's older can be a good experience, because you can learn so much from that person. He is usually very willing to share his life experiences with you and give you some of his years of wisdom. In the beginning of the relationship, you may be very taken with this gentlemen. Older men seem to have the utmost respect for you and tend to treat you very special and in some cases are very willing to spoil you. As young women some of us are very impressionable and we may think that this man is the next best thing since sliced bread.

Now that you think that you've found the best thing that's ever happened to you, reality will soon set in. As you may have thought at some point that this may be to good to be true, you were right, because everything comes with a price. Some older men can be very controlling and they may not want you to go out as much anymore. He may even have a problem with some of your friends and don't understand why you think that you need to hang out so much. This is when things may become a problem in your relationship, oh of course in the beginning you may find it cute, that he may be a little jealous of your friends and you may think that he wants to spend every moment with you, but that won't be the case. He's still going to do what he wants, he only wants you to change your life around.

You must remember that there is an age gap between the two of you and everything that you're going through, he has already done it. Although he may seem a little possessive at times, he means well. Dating an older man can be a different experience, but it doesn't have to be a bad one, it can actually be very good.
