A once in a lifetime concert is coming to the Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts just in time for 2010's holiday season. Smooth Jazz reigning king of the saxophone Dave Koz is hitting the stage with festive cheer and holiday favorites with his Dave Koz and Friends: A Smooth Jazz Christmas 2010 tour. Appearing with Koz are Grammy-nominee Jonathan Butler; alto saxophonist Candy Dulfer; and jazz musician extraordinaire Brian Culbertson.

Dave Koz has been one of the premiere saxophonists since his debut release "Dave Koz," in 1990. With ten releases to his credit he has received six Grammy nominations and has won multiple Oasis Smooth Jazz awards. He has performed around the world not only as a solo artist but he has also performed with such musical legends as Ray Charles, Celine Dion, U2, Luther Vandross and Rod Stewart. One of his most popular CD's 'A Smooth Jazz Christmas,' released in 2001 remains a holiday favorite. His latest release "Hello Tomorrow," was released this past October and was produced by John Burk and Marcus Miller.

Jonathan Butler is not your traditional jazz vocalist. With his feet firmly planted in the R&B genre he is a two-time Grammy nominated songwriter, guitarist and producer. Born in South Africa in 1961 he has the distinction of being the first black artist played on white radio in his homeland. He has 20 CD's to his credit and his latest "So Strong," was released in 2010. His smooth and sultry delivery has been an audience favorite for years and lends wonderfully to the jazz interpretations of Koz and this festive show.

Brian Culbertson has broken down genre barriers with his talent and broad style. He has recorded 11 albums and is considered a musical virtuoso. Composer, arranger, contemporary jazz keyboardist, trombonist and bassist - he seems to have done it all. Add to his credits he has performed with Brian McKnight, Faith Evans and Kenny Lattimore.

Candy Dulfer is a Dutch alto-saxophonist who first caught the public's eye as Prince's protégé via his video for the song "Partyman." As a child she listened to and studied such notable Jazz legends as Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon and Coleman Hawkins. She has been nominated for a Grammy and has appeared on Saturday Night Live, Jay Leno, and CNN's Showbiz Today.

Tickets are available through the Broward Center's box office at 954-462-0222 or www.BrowardCenter.org . Tickets are $35, $45, $55, and $65. Ring in this holiday season with the coolest of cool smooth jazz shows.
