Dave Pamah Blows Whistle on Racial Harrasement in UK Fire Department
"I started as a full time professional firefighter in April 1990 and during that time up to now - I have experienced severe bullying,harassment and racism on the frontline to the point that I had to take out a grievance on my employers in January 2005. I followed this up by writing a paper a few months later in May 2005 as follows:"

"This has put me in the position of a whistle blower and have experienced pact mentality since. I had been offered tempory promotion but the pact mentality continues. My colleague - Jason Toal - went to work with the same firefigters that I had worked with and this is what has happened as follows:"
In this article about a related case in the Marylebone Express's online edition, a Firefighter won a case after :
"A black fireman had his helmet filled with urine and eggs and tomatoes put in his boots during a campaign of racist bullying at three fire stations including Paddington, a tribunal has heard."
"I found this belittling and humiliating. I still had to borrow items from other firefighters - I felt let down and this was my opportunity to start afresh," he said. After explaining why he had no uniform, Mr Toal said he was verbally abused by his crew manager:
"He called me a 'f****** lying c***'. He made it clear that he was aware of the claim I had previously brought against the brigade for race discrimination," he said.The pattern of oppression and abuse continues, resulting in this tragic event:
