David Archuleta Announces Tour Dates; American Idol Favorite Prepares to Tour United States
Former American Idol Contestant David Archuleta Has Scheduled 20 Tour Dates in February and March of 2009
David Archuleta is fresh off performing during the American Idols LIVE! Tour of 2008, and has his first studio album out in stores (it was released in November). Archuleta placed second in last seasons American Idol competition, making it all the way to the finals before losing to David Cook in the last episode of the season. Despite coming in second, Archuleta had received around 44 percent of the vote, showing that there were indeed quite a few people out there that were voting for the 17 year old to win the competition. Now 18 years old (his birthday was on December 28th), he is going to go out on his first real tour.
So far David Archuleta has sold over 500,000 copies of his debut album, and should see sales continue to do well as the newest season of American Idol gets started on television. From that album two singles have been released so far, with the first single Crush making it to #2 on the US Hot 100, and his latest single A Little Too Not Over You making a recent debut on the charts. Both will definitely be performed on his concert dates, but no song list has been released as to what he will cover. It is probably also a good bet that he will perform one or two songs that made him famous on American Idol.
Concert ticket prices haven't been released just yet, but with the dates coming up pretty quickly, news on that should be hitting the internet within days. The first tour by Archuleta is definitely an ambitious one as well, as he plans to make 20 different stops in the span of less than 30 days. Fans can get excited now, as David Archuleta will soon be coming to a town near you, as he crosses from Virginia to Idaho on his debut tour.

Post a CommentSayreville, Phoenix, Madison and Chicago are sold out. WHOA! The House of Blues in Chicago sold out in *15* minutes. Madison sold out in 45 minutes! David Archuleta - your fans love you, and we can't wait to see you live!
Nicely done. ;-}
Debie Henthorn,
The tour is promoting his album, and it is normal for a singer to promote his/her album through tours. Not because his father needs money. Do you know that David A. gave 10% of his money earned from Starch Search to his church? Does it mean something to you? Don't say something that you don't know, that's not nice. I wish David A "good luck" and more power to him. He will have a long career in music industry. I'll pray for him!!!!
Papa Archuleta must need money... :(
Yay! Can't wait to see him live!
Can't wait!!!
