David Archuleta Benefits from Stage Presence

Anne Irving
David Archuleta, the 17-year-old young man from Murry, Utah, did himself proud with his performance last night. His song choice was unfamiliar to many but his rendition sounded very good, and his stage presence was easy and likable. David's appearance was really nice; he had a fresh look to him which is appealing. He also has a good wholesome look to him, and his personality is very likable, he has the look of a young pop singer.

David's has an amazing voice that is very powerful with a wide range. It has a certain "pure" quality to it. He was very enjoyable to watch and listen to. While he has a good stage presence, he is lacking in a maturity that only time can give him. He looked like what he is, a young guy with a great voice. His song choice did not show off his amazing range last night. He does better with ballads.

David Archuleta should not be considered a front runner for the next American Idol, because of his lack of maturity. The songs he sings while sounding good, lack substance because of his youth and his lack of experience. David does not as of yet have the whole package need to become the next American Idol. His competition is too great, with people like David Cook and Michael Johns, who do have the entire package that is needed.

I do believe that David Archuleta will be successful in this business because he definitely has the talent and a very likable personality. He is one to watch because as he grows and matures his vocals and mannerisms will only get better. He has a look that will appeal that would be better younger audience. I would like to see him singing with Hannah Montana.

oooh , i would prefer him to sing with jordin. if he were to sing with hannah, he wouldn't be able to keep up with her energy. two great vocalist singing together would be so amazing to watch. i hope that'll will happen. only thing is, it would be a little weird to see one short and tall singing on stage. lol

You gotta be kidding me!! I mean, I'll admit I'm a 20 something year old and I will watch episodes of Hannah Montana from time to time, but she can't be compared to David Archuleta! He far surpasses her in vocal talent - and to me, likeability! He is an absolute sweetheart! And yeah, he's still young and still needs to mature a lot, and that will come with time (as it did for all of us), but I see him having such a better career than just being stuck with Hannah Montana... He's better than that!

Last year, Jordin (17 year old girl) won American Idol. She is young and she can win. Why not David Archuleta? Talent matters, not age! Hannah Montana can't never be compared to David A.
