After watching him sing "And so it goes" by Billy Joel, I knew that this guy is gonna win American Idols hands down, he has definitely got what it takes to be a star, his one fault is that he is a little bit reclusive, and shy but I am sure that will change if you give the guy time.
He has got such talent and he can literally sing anything and make it sound great and he has something about him that is simple and makes people identify with him and like him alot.
David Cook's performance in my opinion wasn't really all that it was overrated and although I am a huge fan of Aerosmith's "Don't want to close my eyes" I didn't think that David Cook pulled it off all that well, I mean to be honest I can sing that song better then he did and I am not trying to be proud or anything, but that is what I think and please don't crucify for me thinking that because everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. They don't call it a free country for nothing (or do they).
To be honest I don't think that Syesha Mercado will survive and probably be the next to go, I mean she is cute but I don't think that cuteness and sweetness will win her this years Idols.
Anyhow back to Archuleta, he performed wonderfully he got good reviews and the crowd loved him (especially the 14 yr old girls, but who cares everyones gotta have a fan base) I really think and hope he wins, because if anyone deserves it its him, I mean he is only 17 and he is working damn hard, I really think that the others don't hold nuts up to him and that he will get the votes.
I know that I am definitely voting for David Archuleta.

Post a CommentI can't agree more that David A is the best. Being 17, has a pure and angelic look, and most of all with such a great voice. He has the kind of poise and confidence definitely shines above all. I am of a grand-mother's age, and am not a closet fan froim Hong Kong. I have been watching David's performance since the audition. To me, he's matured during this period and he doing more than very well. If every audience is giving a genuie vote, he should be the winner. Let the best win. I love his positive attitude. He's simply great. Like Simon says, 'A master class' indeed.
God bless David.
Cook DEMANDS attention (performing).
Archuleta COMMANDS attention (singing).
Whereas we all detect a worldliness in Cook, 26,
missing still in the younger Archuleta, 17, Archuleta
will grow into that worldliness in his own good time.
His performances will change to reflect that and
he'll blow us away even more than he does now.
By comparison, Cook's performances and his voice
are pretty much going to stay where they are right now.
The real curiosity is the motivation behind what makes
voters more a fan of the one than of the other. Fan
comments suggest that most of them tune in to "watch
a show." Fewer by far tune in to "listen." This clearly
gives Cook the edge because he's the more intense
performer.
On those grounds I think Cook will win because he's got a
great voice and is worldly, eliminating Archuleta -- but only
because the kid hasn't been around the block yet, despite
having the greater voice by far.
What this says about us as fa
Thank you for a positive Archuleta article. I agree, this 17 year old has done great! I certainly couldn't have handled it at his age. I agree, all the criticism for his akwardness.....he's 17! what do people want from him? He seems like a normal teenage boy. I really enjoy his singing and I'm 38..... but I'm learning to be a "closet" Archuleta fan. Its not popular to like him (at my age), I'm finding out. I don't know how people can put down his singing so much. I agree.....if this is a singing contest, "And So It Goes," a cappella, echoing in the auditorium, that kid can sing. Thought it was the best vocal of the night.
A great article and I have to agree.....David A is great.
