It has almost been three years since David Banner's last commercial album Certified. That album produced David's biggest commercial hit to date Play. Now after several delays, David Banner is back with his forth commercial release The Greatest Story Ever Told. Will this new album deliver on its promise?

The first single off of The Greatest Story Ever Told is 9mm featuring Akon, Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne. The track was co-produced by David Banner, Akon and Deezle. The song is the typical posse cut with not much standing out as memorable.

The second single is GetLike Me (Stuntin' Is A Habit). The track is produced by David Banner and it features R&B singer Chris Brown. The song also features numerous vocal samples from Yung Joc's hit single Goin' Down. The song is extremely catchy and one of Banner's most successful songs to date.

Lil Wayne once again joins David Banner on Shawty Say. The song samples Lil Wayne's incredibly popular Lollipop. The song features a very distinctive beat and Lil Wayne on the chorus.

Cadillac On 22's (Part 2) is a sequel to the popular song by David Banner. This version is a great deal mellower and more grounded in country music than the original version.

On Suicide Doors, David Banner is joined by UGK and Kandi. The song is one of the last verses from the recently deceased Pimp-C. The track is interesting and fairly catchy.

I Get By teams Banner with R&B singer Carl Thomas. The song has a distinctive old school 70's vibe to it. The song is interesting and well put together.

Fly features Jazze Pha. The song sounds fairly similar to David Banner's previous hit single Play. The song is very commercial and has single potential.

Hold On is produced by Lil Jon and features up and coming rapper Marcus. The song features a solid beat and strong verses from David Banner and Marcus.

Nitti and Chamillionaire join David Banner on Ball With Me. The song features a frenetic beat and solid verses.

B.A.N. (The Love Song) is anything but a love song. The song deals with the snitching element that is prevalent in the urban culture.

David Banner is one of the most underrated artists in the game. Not only is he a solid rapper in his own regard, he is also one of the most slept on producers. Overall The Greatest Story Ever Told gets 7.5 out of 10. If you are a fan of David Banner make sure you pick up The Greatest Story Ever Told when it is available in stores on July 15th.
