The streams, or more appropriately, rivers of income don't stop there. He is also the Worldwide Ambassador (spokesperson) for Adidas, Coty, Emporio Armani, Motorola, Pepsi and the pen company Sharpie. Adidas is Beckham's official supplier of his athletic wear, so they are paying him to wear their apparel and shoes. It states on his official website, www.davidbeckham.com, that David develops the apparel himself and a special Beckham logo is on every item of the clothing he designed.
Beckham and his wife Posh Spice each have their own fragrance line with Coty. The lines are called "Intimately" For Him and Her. Emma Hall reported in an August 2005 article in the publication Advertising Age that Coty created an entire division called Beckham Beauty House to support this venture.
The latest news is that Beckham just signed a three year deal to be the underwear model for Emporio Armani. He will be paid an annual salary plus royalties. The deal is worth £20 million or approximately $40 million US dollars.
Other income opportunities include the official David Beckham calendar (there were three versions of the 2008 calendar), posters, a partnership with GO3, a UK based associated company of Findus Ltd., to promote fish oil capsules, an autobiography titled Beckham: My World (ranked #263,278 on Amazon.com and selling for $1.99 used) and a DVD called Beckham: Coming to America (published in 2006 and ranked #46,593 in Movies & TV on Amazon.com).
Beckham is a marketing genius. He's savvy enough to have his products sold at America's largest retailer. On the Wal Mart website, you can purchase the David Beckham Intense Gift Set. For $28.44, you get a 1.7 oz Eau De Toilette spray and a 6.7 oz hand and body wash. He appeals to kids with one of those milk moustache ads.
The website www.nndb.com cites that his other endorsements include Gillette, Disneyland and Disney World. Don't be surprised to see an automobile endorsement, more books, acting jobs and a fashion line in the future. There seems to be no end in sight to David Beckham's global appeal and his earning potential.
