My personal opinion is, I can not see them playing this kind of character. To me, no matter how many films I see with Johnny Depp, I can not get him out of the role of the famous Jack Sparrow. Some roles Johnny Depp played were: undercover officer in the series 21 Jump Street, Edward Scissor-Hands,Nick of Time, What's eating Gilbert Grape, Sleepy Hallow to diverse characters as Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He is a excellent actor with the ability to play a wide range of characters, jumping into his role, and doing so in an astonishing way, but this one, I just can not see it.
Brandon Fraser, is another "eye-candy" of Hollywood. His roles were of a wide variety stemming from the early 90's in films, like Encino man, School Ties, to The Mummy. He shows he has to ability to play a wide range of characters from funny to the serious, and doing so extremely well. But again, trying to picture him in the role of Green Lantern is hard. One of his best roles to me is, the Character of Rick O'Connell in the Movies The Mummy. I personally, like his most current role as the modern day Indiana Jones type.
David Boreanaz is not a huge name like Depp and Fraser, but he has the brawn, appeal, and acting abilities to play such a role as the Green Lantern in my opinion. Probably the most known role which David Boreanaz played, was Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He was discovered while walking his dog, by producer Joss Whedon. His role was Angel, a tall, dark, handsome, mysterious vampire with a soul, from 1997-1999, which spun off to his own series Angel. Then in 2005 he was casted in the role of an F.B.I agent Seeley Booth. Also David Boreanaz is an member of Peta2 speaking for animals rights.
There are many more hot Hollywood actors, but for some reason, in looking at the newly drawn Green Lantern concept picture done by Brian Murry, in which he used David Boreanaz, and Carla Gugino as models, he really fits the part. According to cinemablend Brian Murry was hired to work on the Green Lantern film, because of his concept artwork using the actor David Boreanaz. So, can it?, or will it be true, David Boreanaz to play the Green Lantern? No one knows just yet. It will be a win win situation for the comic book lovers to have the Green Lantern in film, and for us David Boreanaz fans, for him to play the character. I will wait patiently to hear, but until then I will be anxiously biting my nails.
