David Broder Calls for Leader of the Senate to Resign

Some Words Are Impossible to Take Back

Harry Reid, Senator from the gambling state, has declared the war in Iraq to be lost. This has come as a great shock to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, and the coalition Forces in Iraq. These forces have never lost an engagement with the enemy. The enemy holds territory, the enemy adapts, but the enemy has never won a single skirmish, much less a battle field engagement. Chuck Schumer, the Senior Senator from New York has defended Harry by stating, "He didn't mean the war on terrorism, he meant the civil war." Harry, if we did loose the Iraqi civil war, then who won? The only answer could be Al Qeada, and Islamo-fascism. Harry's mis-statement is demoralizing to our troops, and emboldening to our enemies. Now, the senior correspondent at the Washington Post, David Broder, has called for Harry to resign.

We have lost over 3,300 of our finest. Our allies have lost thousands more. But the enemies only hope for victory is to test the will of the Western Democracies led by the United States of America. Every day the propaganda machines of the Al Qeada network drone into a willing Arab public the decadency of the west, and the righteousness of Islamic warriors. They know Las Vegas as the capital of American sin. They tell their brethren that we seek for the whole world to be as vulgar as Las Vegas.

Is it not ironic that Harry Reid, the Senator of Las Vegas, has declared Al Qeada the victor. What deal has Harry cut with our enemies? Are we to believe that Harry Reid's recent tour of the mideast, when he met with the leaders of our enemies, made no concessions to them? What kind of horse trader is that? If he did not cut a deal with Syria or Iran, and simply, unilaterally, declared surrender for no concession from our enemies, then this betrayal is worse than that of Benedict Arnold. Harry has given away the candy store, and left us with a bag of rocks. David Broder makes a list of the verbal gaffes uttered by Mr. Reid, but none of these past mistakes threatened to get anyone killed. The safety of our soldiers and Iraqi civilians matter, even in Las Vegas, you do not gamble with lives. And you do not make that gamble in Washington either.

As a Iraqi man ran from the site of a market bombing in Baghdad, he shouted to the sky, "I curse Islam, what kind of religion would cause a man to kill his brothers?" So it is in Iraq, Al Qeada is loosing the hearts of the people. When a suicide bomber struck in the Iraqi parliment, it had the unintended consequence bringing the squabbling legislators together. This was the same effect that our Congress showed when Al Qeada attacked Washington, the Legislators held hands and sang "God Bless America." . These suicide attacks have no military value. They have more more chance of defeating our military than the deranged suicidal mass murderer has of shutting down Virginia Tech. Suicide attacks only serve to demoralize the population. This strategy has worked on Harry Reid, and many of his party. Even though they once stood and shouted, "United We Stand."

Benedict Arnold was a heroic general of the revolutionary war, who, when he feared that all was lost, defected to the British side. His name is an insult, of the most profound order. But it would be hard to imagine a better friend to Osama Bin Laden than Harry.

"United We Stand" yes, we do-those of us who oppose this criminal president and his illegal occupation-and we stand with Harry Reed-and we now stand with more than 2/3 of the American people..and Daniel, you should feel small, physical threats are a weapon of the small mind.

I feel small for saying this, but that is no matter for me because I am stature confident, if I were to look up from counting my dollars in my wallet in the line at the grocery store and see that ignorant cowardly two faced prick...I would sock him right in the face. I would bloody his nose...and, I might even keep going until the the pity of the onlookers were to rise to a point at which they would finally stop me... I cannot stand cowardice and treason from those to whom we look to for more. You wrote a fine piece. Be proud of it.
