David Cassidy Arrested
And Released on $350 Bail
David Cassidy was arrested Wednesday in St. Lucie County, Florida on DUI charges. Although your mind's eye is picturing David driving the colorful school bus that was used on the show, he wasn't, sorry! He was driving his plain white Mercedes. A Florida highway patrol officer pulled him over after seeing Cassidy weaving all over the road.
Cassidy was very apologetic for a DUI offender. He apologized and acted quite upset about the incident. It's hard to tell if he was upset by being caught or upset for being DUI. Surprise, he told the officer he had a glass (a glass?) of wine at lunch and a hydrocodone pill for a chaser (chaser being my word, not Cassidy's).
He failed several field sobriety tests and after a search of his vehicle the officer produced a ½ empty (or ½ full?) bottle of bourbon in the back. He was charged with DUI, failure to maintain a single lane and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
He posted $350 bail and was released from jail. His spokeswoman said that David was not drunk but tired from attending a funeral. She said that he did admit to taking a pain pill. She also said he would never have driven in that condition if he didn't have to attend a funeral.

Very sad. He seems so nice.
All the money and fame in the world can't make these folks content enough to lead normal lives. David Cassidy, drunk and drugging at 60 is not a pretty visual.
I guess nobody is immune from making stupid mistakes.
